Rearranged soldering station with some shelving so I could free up some space on the desk. Set up a rig of prototype modules as a test bench also. Yet to fix some more lighting and computer on the side.
Really happy with where it’s going.

Long hours and late nights of drawing the boards is finally rewarded when 21 front panels and PCB arrived.
This time we got:

I’ve definitely over used the word “excited”, but what can you say. Today received all time largest PCB delivery with 18 different designs of circuit board and front panels. Couple of them were reordering old ones, but most completely new mainly for eurorack synths, but also 500 series blank panels.

Happy to announce that the new I/O Interface module was tested working as it should and I’ll be ordering new batch of panels and PCBs within shortly.
The I/O Interface is a simple 4hp, unbalanced mono module with two independent channels. One channel with 3,5mm jack input attenuate an euro level signal to line or instrument level with 6,3mm output jack. Second channel does the opposite amplifying an instrument or line signal from 6,3mm jack input to euro level for 3,5mm output jack. Both channels are with own level control k**b.
Common use case is to enable a pedal or rack effects loop for eurorack system or to use eurorack system as an effect processor for a guitar rig. Module could also be used for reamping DAW tracks through eurorack system or simply lower the eurorack signal to be recorded by DAW. It could also be used (or misused) for some ‘no input’ noise synthesis and other feedback patches. As the amp and attenuator are independent, they can be used for anything really, though by default both have DC block capacitors built in, so CV processing is not possible without modification….well except maybe some gate to trigger trickery. After all the most clever things on modular systems have been to use the functions for purposes they were not designed for🙂

It’s just so exciting every time delivery guy brings in new patch of PCBs. This time on the table are eurorack power distribution busboard, panel and PCB for I/O interface module and new revision of simple 3-channel mixer with little updates and a bug fix and lastly four new panels for 9x1 platform: 3xLPG, 4-channel pot and CV mixers and a blank panel.

Overly excited of the Wall of Sound - sound design cabinet that is slowly coming together. Now also the upper half in place and tons of wiring, rails and mounts to be installed as well as a complete power distribution system not to mention all the equipment. We’ll get there, I promise.

Bottom half of the ‘Wall of Sound’, sound design cabinet, is taking shape. The base part will consist of four 19” racks mainly for effect units, pedal shelves, tape recorders,…and the top part will be mainly eurorack and mounts for other mini synths.
