His production is so FAT yet he is very discreet about it. 😌 I’ve always been interested in production but I never managed to get the hang of it. However, ravaging the dancefloors I knew some ideas could be used to make pure blasters. 🤩 So that’s what we did. I came to Yassin studio with a bunch of ideas and voice samples and we jammed. Back then, I asked for a Reversed Logic solo track. He totally surprised me by offering a Middle Mode instead! Being a fan of the project, I was really happy with the offer but I knew I wanted this V.A to explore nightier realms. So I asked if they were up to make a Rezonant VS Reversed Logic instead. 🌑 They agreed and by the end of the track production process, Ivan decided to launch a new project, with a more twilight vibe to it, Mind Disturber was born! But I managed to convince him to join anyway by giving an extra delay. It all led to me pushing the lad far too often in order to make the track in time, which is ironic since covid delayed the release by 6 months. Since its first public appearance in Hadra Trance Festival 2018, Snoop Drop has been a phenomenon. Every time they played, it was a dancefloor smasher. Not a week has passed without someone requesting this track, one guy even offered to sell everything he possessed to be able to buy it, someone made the suggestion that this track could be the key to cure his sickness. 😂 Luckily for me, I live in the same country (🇧🇪) as the producers, Quentin & Yassin, which obviously helped to connect with them. After intense negotiation and trust building, I made them an offer they couldn’t refuse; based on champagne and chicken rotisserie. 🍾🍗 Fun fact: I’ve had Snoop Drop on my USB Key for more than 2 years and I always honored my promise not to play it unless they agreed to. Shagadelic is a groovy and powerful banger that totally fits my style. One particular track’s snippet got my interest, I had an instant crush on the western vibe of High Noon. I sent him a message to let him know about my V.A Compilation and he was in! ⚡ Even though High Noon was already a killer track back then, I felt like one specific voice clip could be used. In the video game Overwatch, the cowboy character McRee says exactly ”it’s high noon”. I managed to sample it alongside a few other voice lines and send them to Shaveer who incorporated them into the track, the result is as banging as a six shooter ! 🔫 I’m super happy to consider Shaveer a good friend today, I even had the pleasure to hang out with him in Goa and to witness High Noon from the dancefloor perspective! He did his homework and oh boy did the snippets he was sending me drove me crazy. 🤯 At this point, Gigi’s music arrived in my selection with a bang, his first EP being released on BlackLite Records. I instantly reached out to him, to keep in touch with his future projects. 👊 Then, out of nowhere, I spotted an Instagram story of Lee & Gigi in the studio, making a crazy good breakbeat part aka "Mr Bill sh*t". It took about 15 seconds before I asked them if they were interested in releasing it in my upcoming compilation. They told me they were gonna think about it. I waited 2 months before asking them again and they were like “Oh we forgot to let you know, we’re in.
