And of course, the enchanting SALÓN FUZZ music night at The Victoria Dalston closed with a devastating electrifying psych noise set by headliner Palermo, Sicily's most celebrated son JuJu - Gioele Valenti, or better Gioele Valenti's power trio. As they took the stage they started to fill the room with their heavy sound that exploded in the air blasting each and every bit of music in smithereens. If you never witnessed JuJu - Gioele Valenti live, you are in for a treat. The music released from their studio albums is miles away from what Gioele brings out during his live set. You enter into a cathartic form of music, heavy stoner, psycho-funky rhythms, tribal, incandescent, and dirtier as it can get. Think of Monster Magnet on one of their superjudge trips. JuJu - Gioele Valenti power trio is joined by Vincenzo Schillaci's pulsating basslines, Andrea Chentrance's frenetic drumming, and of course the blistering electric guitar/ vocals by Gioele. A full-hour set, which included a powerful encore.
The set list was made of songs from his albums. You could hear the enthralling sound that emerged from the first notes of 'Dead At 25 ' , and 'Walk The Line', to the magnetic psych funky rhythms of 'In The Ghetto' and so on, bringing the house on FIRE. The set was mostly, of course, centered on promoting his new album
" Apocalypse Is God's Spoiler ", which was played quasi in its integrity bringing out the real psych noise sound of JuJu. ' Bring You A Smile ', the psychedelic funky explosion of ' Cosmic Fall " and an exciting version of ' Black and White ' ( his new single ), among others. JuJu - Gioele Valenti power trio gave everyone in the room the treat they/we all deserved. A milestone of a gig. Quite intense.
Thank you Gioele. It was my great pleasure to meet you too.
The album is out now via Sister 9 Recordings.
Here for you the live version of ' Black And White '. Enjoy

Yesterday at The Victoria Dalston, as part of SALÓN FUZZ night, It was a quite special night. Three music acts took the stage, but I was there to witness @JuJu - Gioele Valenti's live set. However, I was also lucky enough to catch the mesmerizing live set by Lisbon, Portugal's experimental duo Hidden Horse formed by Beautify Junkyards João Branco Kyron (keyboards/ electronics and sampler ) and Tony Watts (acoustic & electronic drums). Live, they were joined by Ana Farinha (Vaiapraia) on turntable and additional percussions. They delivered a vibrating set of pulsating tribal rhythms mixed with the kraut rock of Can/Faust reminiscence, with electronic breaks a la Pierre Henry. Very hypnotic rhythms.
The duo up to now have released two albums via Lisbon's label Holuzam: " Opala " ( 2022 ) and " Incorporeal " ( 2023 ). Really worth checking. https://hiddenhorse.bandcamp.com/album/opala

The legendary industrial post punk new wave Killing Joke: Official were in full form last night at the Royal Albert Hall. The band gave an awesome and unforgettable performance to all the fans, old and young, that went to see them. The band for this occasion played their first two album in their integrity. A night to remember with my dear friends Giancarlo Costamagna and Massimo Engels. The concert started with their most famous song 'Requiem '. Enjoy!
