The Underground Writers Association is an informal non-profit indie publisher est. 2017, from Portland, Maine. We run contests for annual print anthologies and our mission is to help emerging writers get their books professionally edited, designed, printed, and promoted to regional booksellers.

UWA was founded under the belief that our communities are better off with writers sharing their creative talent, and having the opportunities to do so. UWA is dedicated to making big splashes and bringing daring book projects into the literary world.
