The quiet of ocean waves and a breeze. Outer Banks never disappoints - every day is unique and brings sheer, natural beauty. The peace and serenity is good for the soul. Please join me for a quick overview of a very special event hosted by @schifferpublishing - Celebrating their 50th anniversary as independent publishers, they welcomed (and fed!) their staff, authors, and their families. On display was a sampling of their amazing books - a small sample that becomes more real when you see the warehouse filled with ALL the titles! 📚 The warehouse team did an amazing job transforming the warehouse into a magical setting - but it was equally exciting to see the inventory in person. It was also overwhelming and inspiring to see the breadth of the work as well as meet many of the authors and the publishing team behind each title. The evening was filled with an immense amount of talent - kindness, gratitude, and a welcoming spirit were also evident. Icing on the cake was spending time with @karlarosenbusch - a friend and former coworker - and my editor! Thank you, Karla - you took such good care of @richardhonaman and me 💜 I’m honored to be part of the Schiffer family as a new author and humbled by what that means.
