Ca. 1909-1920 - Pancho Villa (1878-1923), the charismatic Mexican bandit turned revolutionary leader, stands resolute alongside his loyal followers. Among these brave souls stands my Great Grandfather, a steadfast Captain in Villa's army. Positioned to the right of Pancho Villa himself, my ancestor's presence is a testament to the remarkable journey that shapes our family history.
It's told that a fateful battle left him wounded, but not defeated. He sought solace and healing in the embrace of New Mexico's lands. It was here that his journey to recovery intersected with destiny, anchoring my roots in this land of opportunity and dreams.
