I've been meaning to release The Reducers documentary on YouTube for years. Finally doing it as a Hygienic Filmwerks event at Art Park on August 3rd. This Friday the streets of New London will be filled with musicians performing for free at this international event that brings artists and audience.

I’ll be fronting a rare Blonde Furniture set and drumming for The Whales at two more. Hope to see you out and about.

Just back from LA yesterday and sitting in with The ToneShifters at Conn College Arboretum tonight. We go on at 8:30. Show starts at 6 pm. And tomorrow The Whales will be performing at the CT Rocks Fest at Scottish Dave’s in Clinton. Our set is at 7:30. Looking forward to reconnecting with y’all.

Tomorrow (Saturday) I will be playing with The Whales at the Hygienic Music Lounge on a terrific bill that includes Kala Farnham, Fleet and Geoff Mitchill Band. The show is sponsored by The Garde Arts Center which donated the space for our Grande Gallery pop up of large format art. Come hear the music and see some amazing art! (BTW, Yes these are the same Whales from 1983 who may well be the last band standing from New London’s golden age of alternative rock.)

As described by ER doctor in non clinical terms: “You crushed the bone in your finger tip.” Ring finger finger and yes, on the fret hand. Doc said I could try playing guitar but the pain will be “excruciating.” He suggesting turning guitar upside down like Kurt Cobain. No problem. So tomorrow’s gig in Baltic (Whales and Blonde Furniture) and two shows in NYC will be a challenge! (How it happened: 8’ 6x6 post dropped on my finger at Home Depot)

Blonde Furniture will be performing at the first annual Hygienic Music Salon at the 44th annual Hygienic Salon des Artistes festival. This Americana lineup is a septet that includes Steve Sigel on violin and Sue MacKay on accordion. Along with great music, host RD86 will have their gourmet chefs create small plates for the event. The Whales will be performing a set in the CT Rocks(!) Fall Fest at 33 Golden St. in New London on Friday, October 14 at 10PM. Jeremy Pongetti from DOUBLE THE DIAL will be sitting in on lead guitar.
