We have an important announcement to share. After much thought and consideration, our beloved artist Mrst3al7og1rl will be undergoing a rebranding and will now be known as Malik.

Why the Change?

There are several reasons behind this decision:

1. Memorability and Simplicity: The name Mrst3al7og1rl, while unique, is difficult to type and remember. Malik, which means “King” in Arabic, is much simpler and more memorable.
2. Religious and Spiritual Reasons: The name Malik carries significant religious and spiritual meaning, reflecting a deeper personal connection for the artist.
3. Personal Growth: This change signifies personal growth and a new chapter in Malik’s journey as an artist.

Alias Changes in Hip-Hop

Changing an alias is not uncommon in the hip-hop industry. Many artists have done so for various reasons:

• Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion: Reflecting a change in musical direction and personal philosophy.
• Puff Daddy to P. Diddy to Diddy: To signify different eras in his career.
• 2 Chainz (formerly Tity Boi): For better marketability and to signify a fresh start.
