As we close out this mini-series, remember what Philippians 4: 6,7 says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

In this world, there are many things that seek to disconnect us from our purpose. We stay connected by understanding that purpose is not only given to us by God and He is also the only powerful enough to maintain it. Our job is to be a willing vessel believing that we WILL SEE the “goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” Psalm 27:13. Put your purpose in His hands and watch what He does with it.

Ask yourself today, what is depositing into your emotional bank account and what is withdrawing from it?

Are your relationships with your friends and/or family giving you positive experiences to fill your bank or are they taking away from it?

Be aware of these experiences and what you are allowing to control your emotional bank account.

The problem with many of us is that we don’t understand the power of perseverance. We don’t understand the lessons that come with getting up to fight an opponent we lost to yesterday. Friend, I can promise you this, not that everyday will be amazing but that everyday will be meaningful for the calling God has placed on your life.

Friend, if you’re constantly distracted, you will continually find yourself beginning again. Rest if you are tired from the cost of the vision but respect the vision enough to rest properly. When you rest properly, you will discover reinvigoration is much more rewarding than diversion.

Purpose isn’t just this thing we carry around that has no deep connection to who we are as people.

I would say that purpose functions very intentionally in the opposite way–it goes down to our very core. God wants us to be like Him through and through starting with our characters.

So He molds us like a potter molds clay, pushing and pulling and smoothing until we’re ready.

He wants our purposes to thrive and be a light for the whole world.

In order to do that for us, He has to trust what the world will see.

Here’s the thing, anything we do daily makes an impression even if we do it half-heartedly. For instance, if you drag yourself out of bed at 5am each morning to mumble a prayer, you will grow accustomed to mumbling a prayer each morning at 5. Imagine though, that you got out of bed at 5 and poured your heart out to God for His guidance that day.

Which scenario would you be more engaged by? Let me answer for you, it’ll be the one you’re more involved in!

That’s all commitment is, friend. It’s involvement. It’s putting hands on your purpose every day, getting engaged in what it requires from you, and what you need to do to meet that requirement. Let’s not make it too complicated, we’ll just get overwhelmed.

Today, make a covenant to put hands on your purpose every day this week. By Friday, you’ll be astonished at how committed you could be.

Are you making healthy boundaries?

Healthy boundaries are important in maintaining one's well-being and relationships.

Boundaries define what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior from others, as well as what we are willing to do for ourselves and others.

Boundaries can be either rigid or porous. Rigid boundaries are inflexible and non-negotiable while porous boundaries are more flexible and open to compromise.

Having a good balance of both will lead you to make healthy boundaries.

Change can be good, especially when it's God who makes the changes. Remember that the potter often starts with more clay than is needed for the sculpture. Purpose is there so that in the end, the beauty and grace of who God created you to be remains while everything else gets gently smoothed away.
