Jovelyn Labora collected $362 from friends to donate to Jenniefer Espino Lagarto's family. Lagarto committed suicide last Saturday. Her body remains at the morgue. Her family has no money and is asking help from the community.

These kids are having a car wash fundraising today at the northeast corner of 43rd ave and Dunlap/Olive until 7pm. Their mom, a 33 year old Filipina from Phoenix (originally from Pampanga), committed suicide 7 days ago. Please help these poor kids raise money so they can say goodbye to their mother who is still in the morgue. Her live-in partner just came out of the hospital two days ago...
The Fil-Am community of Arizona was all eyes and ears when former US Ambassador to the Philippines Harry Thomas gave his talk during the gala night of the Philippine Independence Day Celebration at the Hilton Hotel IN Scottsdale , Arizona.
Thomas shared his experiences in the Philippines and how much he wanted to learn Tagalog. "But it's mahirap," he said. Here's a short video of some Filipino words he learned.
