I had a funny experience last night that made me realize I can't watch the news anymore. While watching a local station, they aired a quick story about the zoo being renovated. However, all I could focus on were the mistakes in the video. It was nothing major, just the fact that the photog failed to show the actual exhibits being renovated and instead showed generic footage of people walking around. It's funny how even though I haven't worked in the news industry for over a year, I still notice these things that people not in the business probably wouldn't even care about. This is why I find it hard to watch the news because I end up focusing on the small mistakes rather than the actual stories. 😂😂

There is no one I can think of more deserving than this. In my time at KFDX, MJ Baird Sports Journalist was one of the hardest working and nicest people to work with. Texoma you are lucky to have him in your market. Congrats, MJ! You deserve it!

We found out tonight that MJ Baird Sports Journalist was named the Small Market Sports Reporter of the Year by the Texas Association of Broadcasters!

Please be sure to congratulate him when you see him!

I loved my time in news and I’m thankful for everyone along the way BUT something that never made sense to me in news…

Meteorologist or anchor: “Don’t go out on the roads. They are very slick and dangerous. Stay home. With that being said let’s send it over to Jaron Spor who is out on the roads and Jaron how are the roads looking?”

Like we are telling people not to be on the roads so why are you sending me out on the roads? 😂😂😂

Don’t get me wrong, I always had fun doing those reports but it never made sense to me.

I forgot to tell this story! When I was standing outside the stadium after the OU-Texas game talking with Michael, a person came up to us saying they watched us on TV (used to watch me). Turns out the guy is from Wichita Falls! Such a small world and I still love when viewers come up and say hi even though I’m not at KFDX anymore. Makes me know the hard work I put in my five years there, was appreciated. Who knows, maybe you’ll see me down there soon 👀

I’ve posted a few things on this page over my best friend’s son who has been battling LCH. Well we got the GREAT news today that he is CANCER FREE! This is the best news I’ve gotten and I just wanted to pass this along to say thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this time!

Hey everyone, I just want to say thank you for all of the messages I’ve received in the last few days. I tried to respond to all of them but if I missed any, I’m sorry! I’m going to miss Texoma for sure!

Real quick, I wanted to say a few things. I’m going to keep this page but I won’t be very active on it. I will check in from time to time and post some things.

Also, I’m happy to announce the next step of my journey! I’m going to be working for Warren CAT in Oklahoma City as their communication specialist! One of the great things about this job is I’ll get to travel to our different locations. That means I will be in WF from time to time so if you see me, say hello!! While it’s going to be weird not being in news anymore, I’m so excited for this opportunity! Again, thank you, everyone!
