Back on the Camino-Day 9: This morning we set out on the final day on this section of the Camino. Leaving Frómista we walked 19.3kms to Carrión de Los Condes, taking in an alternative Camino route to avoid most of the road walking which made for a more interesting day. Well that's it for this year...to all of you on the Way already or just about to go on the Way...Buen Camino 🥾🥾🏞

Back on the Camino-Day 8: After our short walk and rest day yesterday, we left Castrojeriz this morning and set out for Frómista which was 24.9kms away. We only got one small shower even though heavy rain clouds threatened in the distance all around us. It was a good days hike with amazing views in open countryside 🥾🥾🏞🌧☁️

Back on the Camino-Day 7: After the long day yesterday today was more of a rest day of a short 9.6km walk to Castrojeriz and a detour up to the Castle of Castrojeriz...which I have been looking forward to seeing...I'm a bit of a castle/history nerd at heart 🥾🥾🏞🏰

Back on the Camino-Day 6: This morning I set off from the impressive city of Burgos to walk the 31.5kms to Hontanas. Along the way I met and befriended more people walking the way, who have come from all parts of the world. Weather wise today was a mix of rain, sun, more rain and finally more sun 🥾🥾🕍🏞🐕

Back on the Camino-Day 5: After having good weather so far, it was no surprise that the rain caught up with us this morning as we left Ages. Our stay there had provided us with new friends and great conversation. Our destination today was Burgos, clocking in at 22.5kms 🥾🥾🏞

Back on the Camino-Day 4: The morning was cool as we left Belorado this morning...which was quite welcoming. The trail took us from there to a village called Ages which clocked in at 27.8kms 🥾🥾🏞

Back on the Camino-Day 3: This morning, with all power back working in our part of Spain, we left Santo Domingo de Calzada and began the walk to Belorado which is 22.4kms. Once again the weather was in our favour as we met and chatted with new and familiar pilgrims alike 🥾🥾🏞

Back on the Camino-Day 2: We left Najera behind this morning as we set out for Santo Domingo de la Calzada which was 21.3kms further along the trail. The weather was definitely warmer than yesterday and there was a slight increase in the number of pilgrims on the route, but it is still quiet enough on this section....which lends to a quiet pace of life here 🥾🥾🏞
