Took in Mullaghcleevaun over the weekend...once again with misty views from the summit, and met members of Scouting Ireland along the way, they were hosting an event for scouts from all over the country, with conditions providing a good opportunity for navigation training. For the scouts, youth is definitely not wasted on the young 🥾🥾🌫🧭🗺

For the first time in over 30 years, the Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championship and Festival returns to Lough Key Forest & Activity Park in Boyle from 20 to 26 September.

Over 40 vibrant balloons and international pilots will take to the skies during this iconic week-long celebration known as The Irish Meet. Don’t miss the magical morning launches at 7:30am and evening flights at 4:30pm, free for all spectators. 🎈

While you’re at Lough Key, make it a full day out with kayaking, treetop adventures, forest walks, and relaxing in our luxurious saunas.
