At Document we aim to use our experience in the fields of Film, TV, DVD and Radio production, Music Journalism and Film/Video Direction to create the most versatile production outfit in the UK.Over the past decade we've produced over 100 programmes across radio and TV, made plenty of long and short form DVDs, ( a few of which have enjoyed cinema runs en route to the high street), not to mention th
e odd art installation, some audio books and lots of online content. At the heart of the beast is Danny O' Connor (formerly of R1's Lamacq Live / Evening Session, C4's The White Room and one time editor of GLR), and Karen Craig (SMTV Live, Reading & V festivals). Within the wider family we have experts in every field but they work on a project-to-project basis, so Danny and Karen remain the engine room.Right now our latest film ‘Upside Down: The Creation Records Story' debuted at No 2 in the UK Music DVD chart having enjoyed a successful run at cinema. It also picked up the prestigious Mojo Vision Award 2011 and was voted film of the year by the NME. It's due to roll out all over the world over the next 12 months and has screened at more than 40 international film festivals. We also recently produced a TV doc for BBC1 about Howard Marks with Howard and Rhys Ifans. Our Jack White/White Stripes doc recently aired on both Radio 1 and 6Music plus there are a number of film related projects at an advanced stage of discussion. That's not to mention our recent Sony award winning doc fronted by Billy Crystal about Billie Holiday for BBC Radio 2.Drawing on the past, Danny's experience as one of the youngest ever Daytime Editors at the BBC, and as a reporter in Sarajevo and Belfast, has helped Document develop into a multi skilled hub of storytelling. The company now boasts experience in Film , TV, IPTV, Radio, DVD and Video production with topics ranging from politics and literature to music and sport.Document has enjoyed both critical and commercial success with the official Stereophonics long form DVD biography, Rewind, which enjoyed a stint at No 1 in the music DVD chart. We're equally proud of The End of Innocence, our Thrills film, which premiered at the Irish International Film Festival and has been shown on big screens on both sides of the Atlantic.
