Our Story

Under City Lights is a music magazine written, edited and designed by the students of University College London. Guided by the individual interests of its writers and contributors, the magazine seeks to chart a unique documentation of contemporary British and World music and musical thought. In accord with its close relationship to UCL’s student radio station, Rare FM, Under City Lights champions diversity, creativity and individuality in the written form.

Under City Lights is a continually changing platform for writers and designers alike to share their views on music past and present.
