Okidogi didn't join the cosplay competition this time around at , but he did have some stage time with his fellow Loyal Three members during Ogerpon's awarding ceremony.

On a separate note, I feel the need to really up my performance in case I plan to defend my title next year. Your hardest Team Skull Grunt's pretty competitive and won't lose to nobody, yo!

Presenting my winning performance at 's cosplay contest. The idea is that because there is very little info about Okidogi (only 2 official images, in fact... plus one statue), his data is not yet in the Pokedex, and he had to find a creative way to introduce himself.

Last Saturday, I debuted my Okidogi cosplay at and won first place in the cosplay competition. I wish the story was that simple; months of preparation went into this cosplay, including character designing and costume making and many more... plus a rushed 3 days of practice for my final performance.

I wanted to bulk up as much as I could for Okidogi and gave myself an entire month of training. Apparently, it wasn't enough, so you'll probably see me wear this again, hopefully with a bulkier build in the next coming months.

Anyway, this wouldn't be possible without the help of many people, including:

Kuroshinki for the character design
Poly Florencio for majority of the outfit
Headstart Barbershop, Salon & Spa for my hair and makeup
Jaime Luis Aldecoa for training drills and tips
Jhun Aniban and Marivic Embang Castro for this photo

Last but not least, thank you to Pokémon Philippines and my cosplayer friends for pushing me to be my best and get this cosplay out in time for the event.
