We did it!! You guys came through and saved the station once again. WOW! I really thought it was going to be done this time, but nope. We brought about $1,173! The remaining funds will go towards late fees, the money it costs for the website and the streaming company we use. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED!! We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year btw, so yay! If anyone wants a bumper sticker, message us, we still have plenty and will mail you one for free. Hi! Our music royalties cost $1,000/year. I've been procrastinating as we are almost a year behind in paying Sound Exchange. If we can't raise $1,000/year I will have to turn FX off. I just can't afford it. About a year and half ago FX listeners came through and we raised the money to keep the station on another year. Can we do it again!? If we don't raise enough money I will refund you and turn the station off. It's up to you whether FX continues to broadcast. I appreciate all that have listened to the station. A NASA spacecraft will crash into an asteroid Monday..

They are doing this to test how they can deflect asteroids that could be hazardous to Earth in the future. The experiment involves smashing an asteroid with a spacecraft that will be traveling at 14,000 miles per hour. The experiment hopes to nudge the asteroid off its path just enough that if a similar situation would happen here, we could push the asteroid away from Earth. Kind of like the movie Armageddon without making astronauts do it.
