"OH you're going to live in a bus? That must be so exciting!" -- Yes it is, we've seen so much in the last few days in our mini trip/trial run to see what we need/don't need for long term living in the bus.
Last night, however, we got too tired to drive and couldn't seem to find a place to park safely for the night (we aren't stealth mode yet, and it's a bright yellow school bus. Kinda hard to hide in plain sight 🤣), so I jumped on Google to find a late night diner to grab food and recharge a bit and I stumbled across a about 50 miles away so we started headed there because some of our buslife buddies had told us we could sleep in CB parking lots.
This is the REAL version of a nomadic lifestyle, it's not always waking up to beautiful scenery or wild animals grazing near your campsite. Its having not showered in 3 days because you leave to adventure 3 hours before the campground showers open, it's eating for dinner because you're too damn tired to make food, it's a hot cup of coffee while staring at the most beautiful lake, it's squeezing in one more National Park before you have to return to your "real life" for a few more months, and yes, it's occasionally sleeping in Cracker Barrel parking lots.
