In the end of the day what we are most afraid is our own self. We are not afraid of situations, we are afraid of our emotional, mental and physical responses when a situation occurs. The only thing that we are fundamentally afraid of, is our subconscious reactions that come from our beliefs and from the neglected shadow work. Those undeveloped aspects of ourselves tend to be our biggest fears.
