The CECA was signed so that SG could gain access to huge India market and other investment opportunities too.
Could this investment by SATS in Bengaluru, India be one of those opportunities similar to the likes of Singtel, DBS, Sembcorp and other GLCs?
The CECA has brought much discomfort and inconvenience such as overcrowding of our public transport in MRT and buses. The CECA have also led to over concentration of a single nationality in certain companies and could have resulted in the displacement and replacement of Our Citizens.
In light of these, should the profits and Dividends payout from the GLCs also be shared amongst Our Citizens?
After all there must be a price tag for the lost of space, jobs and sometimes even mental distress suffered by Our Citizens.
