The 2024 Summer Blockbuster Championship begins this week! Submit your list and you’ll be entered to win a unique trophy designed by the Cinema Swamp crew, and a $50 movie theatre gift card! Please send your list via Facebook or Instagram messenger.

I’ve posted some of the biggest movies coming this summer, but this does not exclude the other releases! Please check Box Office Mojo or a trusted source for other summer 2024 releases!

Rules below:
- Make a list of movies in the order of what you think will earn the most money over the summer (Counted by domestic earnings only; not international)
- Your list must include 10 movie picks + 3 extra wildcard picks
- Must have list submitted by May 4th before midnight
- Contest officially ends September
2nd, Labor Day
Official game rules are from Slash Film, and official earnings stats are from Box Office Mojo.

Scoring:
- 13 points for #1 or #10 dead-on (each)
- 10 points for numbers 2-9, dead-on
- 7 points if your pick was only 1 spot away from where it ended up
- 5 points if it was 2 spots away
- 3 points if your pick was anywhere in the Top 10
- 1 point for each Wild Card that makes it into the Top 10
(The scoring is tabulated so that you get the SINGLE HIGHEST point value for each pick. Example: If you get #10 right, you don’t get 13+3; you only get 13 points.)

Congrats to Clint on winning the 2023 SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER CHAMPIONSHIP!

Now, where has the Cinema Swamp been? On a major hiatus. However, we have old recordings ready to be edited & released, so those should be coming through in the next few months. Also, I’m following this post with the quick announcement for the 2024 Summer Blockbuster Championship! Stay tuned, Swampies!

IT’S BACK!!

In a little over a week, the Summer Blockbuster Championship begins for 2023! There’s quite a few big movies coming out this summer, so submit your list and you’ll be entered to win a unique trophy designed by the Cinema Swamp crew, and a $50 movie theatre gift card! Hey there Swampies. It’s been way too long, but THE CINEMA SWAMP is returning with weekly episodes! We have a new setup & new ideas. So for now, there will be a few additional episodes of varying recording quality, but after that, we’ll be rebooting with more movie choices, new releases and more! Soon, our long-awaited episode on THE BATMAN will be released. Watch out in the coming weeks for:
