Tonight, Just Another Runner will officially see its first television broadcast!!! "Alan Cory Kaufman: A Trek for the Ages" will be airing tonight at 9pm on Manhattan Neighborhood Network as part of its "MNN Shorts" program. It will be the last of 6 shorts featured this week (so it will be airing at the end of the time slot).

You can watch it at 9pm on MNN 1 (Spectrum 34, FiOS 33, RCN 82) and 5 (Spectrum 1993, FiOS 37) or stream it live on www.mnn.org.

So excited for this milestone - hopefully it will be the first of many to come!

At long last, Just Another Runner is finally back!

As a teenager, Michael Ring had a 2-step plan to avoid gym class: join a varsity team, and join a varsity team without tryouts–in his case, the track team, where showing up was good enough. Before long, running became more than an excuse–it became a personal outlet, a social activity, and a lifelong journey that would see him become a race director, president of the Prospect Park Track Club, a survivor of Guillán-Barre Syndrome and proud Achilles Athlete, and a beloved figure in the Brooklyn running community, completing marathons and ultramarathons many times along the way.
