10 years ago today, I released what I would call my first proper film called "Bagass". For over a year, evenings and weekend were dedicated to it, friends and family were all put to work and helped this 55 minute long movie based on a silly joke.
More than just the film, the music videos, the screenings, the actual live concerts and everything and everyone that gravitated around project made it an amazing, albeit rough around the edges, piece of of silly art.
I poured my heart and soul in making it a decade ago (wow) and can't thank the people who helped out enough. It's far from perfect but I still get a laugh out of it today and you definitely have Bagass to thank for everything that came after.
So here's a special 10 year anniversary surprise comeback. Long live T-Yupz and Fifty, Leooooo, Savino, The General, The Precious U, Bernard Peurt and all the rest! DUDE !!!
About five years ago, we shot a film called The First Hit. We never released it online because we were trying to get into festivals etc... then, we sort of forgot about it when we made 12 FILMS IN A YEAR.
That said, I always found that my original edit of the film wasn't quite right, so I've been tinkering it on and off for a couple of years now... but there's only so much you can tinker with something before it breaks. So I'm happy to announce that I'll be releasing the film in the next couple of weeks or so, at last!
This was he film that sort of kickstarted everything that came after, and I can't wait for you to see it in it's final form 🦛
