It truly is strange what fate can sometimes do.

Last weekend (Saturday 11th May 2024) we had the privilege of being the broadcast partners for Belfast Irish Milers at their annual track event at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast. A young 17 year old from England. Phoebe Gill, smashed her own personal best time in the 800m main event and in the process also blew away a 45 year old record for a female runner under 18. It's the second fastest an U18 has ever ran. It was a tremendous day in perfect conditions with many other records set and broken.

Forward one week exactly to today (Saturday 18th May 2024) and we celebrate again. This time with our boxing partners at Holy Trinity Boxing Club. A few weeks ago Mobile Media Productions teamed up with HTBC to produce their Showcase Boxing Event. Holy Trinity Boxing Club are the only club on the island of Ireland to go LIVE from their own premises with a multi camera Boxing Showcase. The best bit - HTBC are the training home of the New IBF SUPER-FEATHERWEIGHT champion of the world, Anthony Cacace, crowned this evening after he pulled off a huge shock in Saudi Arabia by stopping Joe Cordina in the eighth round to win the IBF world title. The only shock it seems was to the Cordina crew and the assembled media. It was never a doubt to Anthony or his training team led by Mickey and Micheal Hawkins Jnr.

Once again we are massively proud and privileged to be involved with all around both these events and can't wait for the next big thing - Maybe a return fight for Anthony at HTBC!!??

This weekend is shaping up to be another mad busy one, but first we are delighted to announce that we have agreed a two year deal with Belfast Irish Milers to livestream their event at Mary Peters Track this coming Saturday 11th May. Action starts at 12pm on their YouTube channel and should wrap up around 5.30pm https://www.youtube.com/
Do them a big favour and jump on over on the link and subscribe to help them build an audience. It's free to you, but worth a fortune in exposure to them.

We're massively looking forward to the new partnership and being able to showcase their athletes and those from across Europe.

The bad and the good. PT2
Bad is that we don't update anywhere as often as we should. The good is, it's because we're just too busy. It's the excuse and we, us, I am sticking with it.

Following on from the last post, brings us to last weekend and another busy few days. Friday saw us back at St. Patricks again for LOI action with 24/7 on LOItv. Saturday was a day of 4 Minor football championship games for Ulster GAA, in Cavan, Newry, Owenbeg and Ballyshannon

On Sunday the NIFL Women's Premiership league returned with four games down for completion including last years champions, Glentoran taking on Crusaders at The Blanchflower Stadium. We were privileged to have been selected to produce the game for the DAZN sports network. Five cameras in total, which included a sideline wireless camera and Drone. This was a big challenge for us and we were delighted to be joined by our good friends at Wyzcom Ltd who provided the SNG (satellite facility) for the broadcast. A stressful but super day out.

On Monday we returned to Tallaght for teh Bank Holiday game in LOI where we got a shock result with Waterford beating the current league champions 3-1 in an end to end game. Took a break yesterday and return to womens football tonight at a new ground for us in Camlough, just outside Newry!

The bad and the good.
Bad is that we don't update anywhere as often as we should. The good is, it's because we're just too busy. It's the excuse and we, us, I am sticking with it.

It really has been a mad couple of weeks. Possibly the best night of boxing at Holy Trinity Boxing Club we've ever been to. Great hosts and a super night's craic.

Followed up with a weekend of outdoor sport, Football (soccer) in the League of Ireland for 24/7 at Richmond Park (St. Patricks). All Island Cup women's football coverage on teh Saturday and Live streamed game on the Sunday. Ulster GAA Scór senior Final in Derry on the Saturday as well and then back to Dublin for League of Ireland in Tallaght on the Monday.

What an unbelievable night we had at Holy Trinity Boxing Club for their showcase evening. Ten quality fights and an electric atmosphere. Kids got to see themselves box "on tv" and families got to share in the excitement. We were so well received and treated by Holy Trinity and we want to thank then for their hospitality. It's unfair to single anyone out with so many doing so much, but special thanks to Michael (Jr) for everything. We look forward to the next one and can't wait. Until then, from the crew,

We are delighted to be partnering with Holy Trinity Boxing Club, Belfast tomorrow evening (Thursday 18th April) to bring a top class card of boxing with 10 fights down for decision. This is a showcase event with one of the premiere boxing clubs on the island of Ireland. HTBC has produced some superb champions over the last 50 years and now prepare the next generation heading into the future. We will be live on their YouTube channel from around 6.50pm with the first fight due at 7pm. Simply search YouTube for Holy Trinity Boxing Club Belfast and watch their socials for the live link

A busy weekend of sports recording in Dublin for the Easter weekend. Two football league finals today and another two tomorrow in Croke Park and then League of Ireland action on bank holiday Monday at Richmond Park for the St. pats v Sligo game

It's great to be able to update and confirm that the Showcase event at Holy Trinity Boxing Club will take place on Thursday evening 18th April at the club premises. Details of the programme are being finalised and there will be sponsorship opportunities for the shown with some already pledged and sorted. This is a great event for local sport and boxing in particular. A limited number of tickets will be available by contacting the club. More details will be announced as we get closer to the show.

We are super delighted to announce that we will be hosting a showcase evening of local amateur boxing for Holy Trinity Boxing Club in Belfast. Holy Trinity has a reputation and presence in world boxing few others get to achieve. The date will be announced as soon as all is confirmed, but we can say "watch this space" as it's not far away. We'll have a joint announcement on the programme of fights etc again as soon as we get the details sorted. The evening will be a celebration of their 50th anniversary last year and the start of looking ahead to the next 50 years so it's an absolute honour to be involved and to be taking out our new OB facility OBTCS for the event.

Finally got the outside graphics done on the OB. Thanks to UNI Creative for the brilliant simple, clean design and Trade Signs for the fab job as usual.

The new facility allows us to easily and quickly deploy at most type of events, almost anywhere.

Yesterday was spent in Dublin covering the LOI football (soccer) derby meeting of St Pats and Bohemians for 247.tv on LOItv -it was more important yesterday to get a picture of the van. It’s feeling a little left out with the arrival of the new OB trailer - I may have mentioned it before 🫣.

Today it’s back to Dublin and Croke Park for GAA Hurling and Football double header. First up Dublin take on Limerick in the 1B round 3 game of the Hurling league at 5.15pm. Later the Dublin footballers take on Kerry in the div 1 round 4 game of the football league.

A couple of weeks back we were asked along to take part as an extra in the BBC recording of the second series of Legal Drama "Showtrial" filmed in Belfast. Our van was included as prop for several parts of the show alongside our friends at Wyzcom Ltd.

So the new OB Trailer fit out continues, with it having its first official outing yesterday (Sunday 11th Feb. 24). We were delighted to provide the facilities for BBC SportNI coverage of the Ulster Schools GAA MacRory Cup Final that went out on the BBC iPlayer

Lots of work still to be done to get things finished and tidied up and will soon have the new graphics on the outside thanks to Kieran at UNI Creative. You certainly won't miss it out on the road.

Back today for another double header of GAA football. It’s the turn of the junior and intermediate club finals. We really do get access to the best views of games.
Blue skies and a beautiful day in Dublin but it is mid January so there’s a chill.

Working in sports its always great to get into the best stadiums around. Tonight it’s back to a super office view in Croke Park in Dublin for the GAA club hurling junior and intermediate finals double header. Back tomorrow for the same for football finals. The miles are starting to build already. Dang it’s cold.
