💔❤️‍🩹💔 Rest in Peace
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist N Valarmathi, the woman whose voice was behind the launch countdown for Chandrayaan-3 and many other rocket launches, passed away owing to a cardiac arrest. Chandrayaan-3 mission was her last countdown for ISRO.

According to reports, the 64-year-old scientist passed away on Saturday evening due to cardiac arrest in Chennai.

Former director at ISRO, Dr PV Venkitakrishnan, condoled her demise on X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared that Chadrayaan-3 was her final countdown announcement before she passed away. He wrote, “The voice of Valarmathi Madam will not be there for the countdowns of future missions of ISRO from Sriharikotta. Chandrayan 3 was her final countdown announcement. An unexpected demise. Feel so sad. Pranams!”

The Surat Crime Branch on Wednesday nabbed tuition teacher Mitul Trivedi after he gave media interviews claiming that he is the ISRO scientist who designed Chandrayaan 3's Vikram lander. Trivedi forged documents and a letter to further his claim. As per the police, Trivedi — who provides tuition classes to students from 12th standard and onwards — confessed that he drafted the letter because he felt that if he showed such a letter to the parents of students, he would have more students registering for his classes.

In support of his claim, Trivedi created a fake appointment letter of ISRO dated February 26, 2022 in which he claimed to be the assistant chairman of ISRO's Ancient Science Application Department. He had forged another letter in which Trivedi claimed to be a “space research member” for ISRO's upcoming project called “mercury force in space”.

Speaking to reporters, Surat Additional Commissioner of Police Sharad Singhal said that an application was submitted to the Commissioner of Police requesting an investigation into the matter.

In a significant development, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) reported that India's Pragyan rover encountered a 4-meter diameter crater on the moon's surface on August 27, 2023.

The unexpected obstacle was detected just three meters ahead of the rover's location, prompting an immediate change in its course.
