Artful artful Together they represent a new breed of up-and-coming artists who want to compose and release music on their own terms.

artfuldivision is the combined efforts of three firm friends and fellow DJs: Jon Samwell & Will Brooks (collectively known as Jon Brooks) and Tom Fallon (Cecil). With a sound deeply rooted in House, inspired and influenced by the sounds of Detroit, Chicago, and sounds coming from Europe, artfuldivision provides a platform for them to extend their creative vision and to share it with like-minded in

dividuals, pushing the known and unknown. They’ve played numerous sets in Leicester, Nottingham, London and Ibiza alongside DJs such as Dinky and Dyed Soundroom. DJing together at their monthly night in Leicester, Plus Two, the boys have regularly undertaken six-hour sets that have given them a solid understanding of what works and what doesn't and a hunger to stamp their own imprint on a sound they are so passionate about. Máté Si hails from Hungary and now calls Darmstadt home. He's a real expert when it comes to underground electronic music. His DJ sets are like a wild ride through different eras and musical genres. Máté has a unique perspective on music, thanks to his background as a physicist and experience playing the bass guitar. This comes through in both his own music and the sets he spins as a DJ.

We stumbled upon Máté's music through his recent edits, releases, and podcasts and were blown away. We knew we had to get him on one of our podcasts.

Here is also a few words from Máté himself, " It has been a while since I've got the chance to record a set, so I was delighted to get the request by the Artful boys. I picked tracks from amazing producers, so I hope that you can appreciate their great ideas as much as I do. :) Have a good trip!

On the decks since 1998, going through the majority of venues in Barcelona that have been programming quality house and techno ever since. Owner of the End Of Dayz labels and the Rhythm Control Barcelona label and record shop, he is a key figure in the Barcelona scene. His services are demanded by international DJs who pass through his city and he has also performed in cities such as Berlin, Madrid or Tokyo. For a couple of years he has been exploring his facet as a producer, releasing an EP shared with Ben Sims on the London label Hardgroove as well as releases on his own label as well as the American label Urban Kickz Recordings.
