The A-ha live restoration itself is almsot done but life has got in the way a bit the last few days; lots of unexpected “grown up” stuff to deal with. It will be uploaded sometime this weekend and I’ll send a link round then - but at the moment it’s unlikely to be today.

Hi All
I am very pleased, proud, happy and RELIEVED to finally be able to present the latest live restoration, which is of the original FM broadcast of Jean Michel Jarre's concert in Houston, in April 1986. It took a lot of work but it was well worth it.

In other news, I'm taking September off from the website (private work will still get done ) and the next show will be on 4 October.

Good morning all. Happy to say the latest show is now online and free to download and stream. This one is a really great sounding stereo recording of The Jam, playing at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands, from May 1980.

There are a few versions of this recording floating around the internet - this is the first one to be complete and in such great quality. Really good performance from the band, too - very powerful.

Taking a break from the site for the rest of this month but before I go - the latest live upload is online! Adam And The Ants from the short Ants Invasion tour of 1980 - the last tour they did before signing to CBS records and playing larger venues. It's a goodie!

As many of you will have noticed, Facebook is starting to die off, and has been for quite some time - that's why I created the newsletter. You will get news from that reliably when there is some, while you may well miss posts in the group (or this page) thanks to the way FB chooses what to show you. In fact, I am seriously thinking of closing down this page, just because Meta have made Pages so awkward to use now. If that happens, I'll give you notice of course.

For those not subscribed to the newsletter (and if not, why not?!) I am happy to say the latest live restoration is now up on the site for free streaming and download.

Ultravox! Live At Radiohuset, Stockholm from 19 October 1977. Long available as a 12 song vinyl bootleg, this is the whole broadcast and features 14 songs. And the sound has been improved, of course!

This is a great set in remastered stereo and well worth an hour of your time. Have a great weekend, all.

After last week's sad news about the passing of their bass player Chris Cross, there was only going to be 1 band featuring in the next live restoration. Coming soon, Ultravox! Hi All - new show coming this week. Show 200! Whoo...

So show 200 WILL be Gary Numan from the American leg of his 1998 Exile tour. Not in common circulation this one, and your ears are in for a treat (if you like Numan of course - anyone else will run screaming from the room, no doubt!). This is a good audience recording which is responding well to my virtual first aid kit and sound twiddling...

The next live restoration is....

All girl LA band The Go-Go's in a restored stereo FM recording from 1981! Almost finished and sounding really good (what a good live band they were). Keep an eye out - I'll be posting again to let you know when that's live in a few days.
