The term “Montage” is a modern computer rendered photo(s) which are edited in sequence to condense space, time and information.
In French the word “montage” applied to cinema denotes editing. From the 1930s to the 1950s, montage sequences often combined numerous photo(s) with special optical effects (fades, dissolves, split screens, double and triple exposure) dance and music. They were usually assembled by someone other than the director or the editor of the movie.
