For many AEGEEans, the idea of a real, serious job may appear alien compared to the fun and inspiration we find in AEGEE. But maybe there are ways to leverage AEGEE to find a job that is (almost) as cool or European? As AEGEE-Europe, we . Our worst fear has been realized, and that was Russia invading Ukraine the morning of the 24th of February.

"AEGEE-Europe will always promote peaceful and constructive international cooperation, respecting the rule of law, as well as human rights and fundamental democratic values. The recent events affect all of us, directly or indirectly. Aggression and violence should never be an option and we condemn the actions that have and will lead to unnecessary bloodshed, disrespecting values of human lives. We have heard the voices of the Russian youth, who have shared that they do not wish this violent escalation and extend our deepest condolences for the actions taken on their behalf. We should not judge the Russian citizens by their government and urge you to also be respectful and considerate of the situation in which they find themselves. " (AEGEE / European Students' Forum)

We pray for Ukraine, for its people, and for the aegeeans (AEGEE-Kyiv AEGEE-Odessa AEGEE-Lviv) who are there, suffering this conflict we have so badly failed at preventing.

But we also pray for Russia. There are aegeeans there too (AEGEE-Moskva AEGEE-Samara AEGEE-Tyumen AEGEE Rostov-na-Donu AEGEE-Voronezh), and people who believe this is wrong as much as we do.

Can you believe it? AEGEE-Praha AEGEE-Praha has already turned 30! What a number! And to celebrate that special occasion they planned an amazing birthday event. 40 participants from all over Europe joined, and out of my own experience -I Janine Kuroczik was one of them- I can tell you it was a blast. We got to see Praha’s best sights by foot and by boat, eat delicious Czech food, explore the nightlife and of course celebrate AEGEE-Praha’s birthday with a huge party. The birthday weekend was a full success for sure and the amazing organizers did their best to make it unforgettable. Societies are becoming increasingly digital. Over 90% of jobs worldwide have a digital component, which has made it essential for people to have digital literacy skills in order to engage with, and function and participate fully in a digital world. Regrettably there exists inequality in access to technology and digital training. irls and women are limited in their usage and adoption of technology, their ownership of digital devices and ability to make meaningful use of access to technology.

Humanity must face the waste problem which nowadays has reached drastic importance, requiring acting quickly and incisively. Too much waste thrown into the sea or land improperly is returning to everyday life through food and water, such as microplastics. Not to mention the animals that die from ingesting waste, like whales, with kilos and kilos of garbage in their stomachs. In essence, humanity has generated a real environmental catastrophe. Many actions have been created to cope with this phenomenon, such as the Zero Waste movement which deals with minimizing the production of waste up to complete reuse, recycling, and enhancement. AEGEE / European Students' Forum welcomed this movement, to the point of investing antennas and working groups to be part of the change.
