Welcome to Week 4 of the God's Perfect Timing devotional and the 3rd week of Advent.
Joy is a word we hear a lot during Advent—but Scripture invites us to slow down and think more carefully about what joy really is, where it comes from, and how it grows in ordinary, often difficult seasons of life. In this Week 4 message from the God’s Perfect Timing devotional journey, we step into the third week of Advent and spend time with a beautiful set of Scriptures that help us see joy through the lens of God’s nearness, His faithfulness, and His fulfilled promises. If this season feels full, emotional, or even a little overwhelming, these passages offer space to pause and let God’s Word settle the heart.
📖 Key Scriptures for the Week:Isaiah 52:7–10Luke 2:1–14Luke 2:15–20John 15:9–11Philippians 4:4–5
This devotional journal offers you a way to stay grounded and dwelling in Scripture through the holiday season. With short readings, thoughtful reflections, and simple response questions, it provides meaningful depth without overwhelming busy schedules. Each week guides you to rest in God’s perfect timing, find peace in His presence, and enter the new year with renewed hope. Designed for women who want to remain rooted in the Word during a full and emotional season, this journal brings calm, clarity, and the steady encouragement of God’s truth.

This first Advent message brings us into the quiet longing of Zechariah and Elizabeth—two faithful servants of God who lived many years with unanswered prayers. Their story invites us to slow down, think biblically about waiting, and recognize the tender ways God prepares His people in His perfect timing.
If you’ve ever carried a long prayer, or wondered what God is doing in the quieter seasons of life, this message will give fresh comfort and hope.
📖 Key Scriptures:Luke 1:5–25; Zechariah 8:19; Isaiah 52:3; 2 Chronicles 13:20; 2 Chronicles 26:5
This message is part of the God’s Perfect Timing 50-day devotional journey. Each Sunday brings a new video to help you enter the next set of Scriptures with calm, hope, and expectation. What are you waiting for? Healing? Mending? Peace? God meets us in the ache and delay. He keeps His word and draws near, no matter what. He takes the first step, even when we're tangled. Find comfort in His promise.

Welcome to Week 2 of the God's Perfect Timing devotional.
Advent begins long before Bethlehem. In this first week of Advent, we slow down and look at the earliest promises God spoke over a weary world. Before shepherds heard the angels sing, before Mary received her news, God was already preparing a story of redemption.
If your heart feels stretched thin or you’re carrying long-standing prayers, these passages offer steady hope. We’ll take a gentle walk through Genesis, Isaiah, and Luke to see how God speaks into fear, meets His people in their longing, and invites us to trust His timing.
📖 Key Scriptures for the Week:Genesis 3:1–15Genesis 12:1–4; Galatians 3:6–9Isaiah 9:1–7Isaiah 40:1–11Luke 1:26–38

Welcome to week one of the Dwelling Richly devotional, God’s Perfect Timing. This week we’re slowing down with Psalms, Deuteronomy, and Philippians to practice thankfulness and remember how steady God has been.
Take a few minutes each day to read, reflect, and jot down what stands out — maybe one attribute of God, a moment He provided, or a short line from Psalm 136 to carry you through. If you haven’t printed the devotional yet, grab it from the website and let’s walk through this week together.
I’m praying for you — let these scriptures center your heart and remind you that God’s love and timing are always true. See you next week!
It's 50 days (five short prompts a week for seven weeks), taking you from the Sunday before Thanksgiving through the Sunday after New Year's. Each day gives a tiny Bible prompt, a quick thought, and space to jot one simple reflection — nothing overwhelming, just a steady rhythm to keep your heart grounded.
I'd love for you to join me — download it, share it with a friend, and let's let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly this season. Say hi and subscribe on the website so we can stay connected.
Dwelling Richly is a community Bible study and discipleship resource equipping you to love and live out God's word heart, soul, mind, and strength. We are people who enthusiastically and intentionally let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly.

I wrote a gentle devotional called "God's Perfect Timing" to help us stay in God's Word during the holiday rush.

Ever feel like you're spiraling, your mind pulling in a million directions? The psalmist in Psalm 42 knew that feeling. He brought his mess to God, poured it out in prayer, and then preached truth to himself. Let God's Word preach back to you.

19/11/2025

God has been faithful, is faithful, and will be faithful. That promise brings a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind. This peace fortifies us, ready to battle and protect, holding the line when emotions tire. It all rests in Christ Jesus, a blessing for us.

What if anxiety does not get the last word? In this final chapter of Philippians we walk through a clear, biblical pathway for steady hearts in unsteady times: rejoicing in the Lord, practicing gentleness, praying with thanksgiving, guarding our minds, and learning the secret of contentment in Christ. If you have felt the mental spin cycle, this teaching gives you a simple, do-able rhythm for your week. We move from worry to prayer, from rumination to renewal, and from self-reliance to Christ-strength. You will leave with a plan you can start today.
You’ll learn how to:

Pray when you feel anxious and actually experience God’s peace

Train your thought life with Philippians 4:8

Practice what you have learned so peace keeps returning

Live content “in plenty and in want” through Christ’s strength

If your mind races at night or life feels a little unsteady, this closing session of Philippians 4 is a warm invitation to breathe. We walk through how prayer, thanksgiving, and the Word can steady your thoughts, guard your heart, and anchor your joy in Christ.
Come as you are: tired, anxious, hopeful. Let’s practice bringing everything to God, choose what to dwell on, and remember that the God of peace is with us — not as a lecture, but as a steady, loving presence in the everyday.

From back in the archives, this is the first sermon I preached - July, 2013. If you’ve ever felt ‘meh’ about faith or struggled with life’s hard questions, this sermon gently calls you back to the wonder of who God is and how a humble response can change everything. This is a reminder that God isn’t just a distant idea or a casual checkbox; He’s holy, powerful, and deeply personal. I invite you to move from indifference or frustration to humble awe and wholehearted devotion.
What’s the most important thing about you? A.W. Tozer said, “The most important thing about a man is what he thinks about God.” This was my very first sermon back in July 2013, and the heartbeat of it still anchors every message I preach today. From Isaiah’s vision of the Lord high and lifted up, we learn that true peace and purpose begin not with me, but with Him.
