Production Title: Production Audio Mixer/Recorder
fire5films is looking for a Production Audio Mixer/Recorder on an as needed basis (per event/project) to be the 3rd person in a 3-person production team (Producer, Director & Sound Person) for several upcoming production dates.
Compensation:
Competitive Day Rate
Per Diem Meal
Transportation is not included.
Production Description/Location:
Shoot days will probably not be long but expect to be on location between 8-10hours/day.
Some shoots will be 2 days in a row, but not more.
Most, if not all, shoots will be in Tarrytown, NY.
Most shots will be indoors, a few outdoors.
Some indoor locations may be quite noisy due to machinery and other background activities.
Besides setting up and recording the audio you will need to assist with some other setup and breakdown tasks on set such as lights, camera, tripod.
Production Requirements:
You must have your own equipment:
Multi-channel audio recorder/mixer
3 Wireless Lav Mics at least (more is better)
Capabilities for Director and Client monitoring
A boom would also be nice but not a necessity
XLR to Mini-XLR adapters will be needed for plug-in to camera
Production Experience:
You must have/be:
Experience recording corporate executives in intimate environments
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
Detail oriented with a high standard for audio quality
Ability to go beyond your required tasks to help produce a quality video
Application Submission Requirements:�You must:
Have a minimum of 2 years production experience.
Submit a reel to review.
Have at least 2 recommendations from recent productions.
Post-Production Experience: There may be some need for post-audio assistance. If you’re interested and have sound engineering skills to produce pristine audio in post-production, please let us know so that we can discuss this possibility. Extreme knowledge in Logic Pro and Adobe Audition a must. There would be pay for that work commensurate with your skillset.
