The Switch from Coffee Lovers to Extracted

I’m here to announce that the name and brand of Coffee Lovers Magazine has changed.

The new name is Extracted - Exploring the Craft of Coffee.

Before we continue, I want to assure you that nothing else is going to change. I’ve given this shift a lot of thought, and after back and forth with many readers of the magazine I’ve come to the conclusion to make this change.

When I first started Coffee Lovers Magazine - in the middle of 2012 - I was just discovering the world of craft coffee…beyond fancy flavored coffee drinks.

I made the magazine because I wanted to create a resource for people who loved coffee and wanted to get into it more, but didn’t know where to start…

Now, over 5 years later, I’ve released 60+ main issues and 20+ special issues of the magazine.

Throughout all that time, a lot has changed.

And much has improved in the magazine - this is in no small part due to the direct input and feedback of readers and fans.

Over the past couple years that much of the focus on the magazine has pushed further towards the amazing craft and uniqueness of coffee, along with the stories of people who’s lives revolve around it.

I am discerning in the subject matter for the magazine, and only chose what I believe is best for you and your enjoyment.

I believe that we are more than just Coffee Lovers.

Many people in the world love coffee, but not everyone strives for the best, or makes an effort to dive into the craft of it, or invests in the understanding of the people and history behind it all.

You do, and that is why you are here.

Because of all this, I am changing the name of the magazine, to better reflect what it presents to you, and what we strive to be.

Don’t worry,

Aside from the name, nothing is going to change with the magazine. In fact, it’s only going to get better.

This is all about changing the name so that it better reflects what is already there, and gives us a platform to go further and have a stronger impact that we have so far.

In the coming days, you will start to see the changes unfold.

This is the first step - announcing to you what is going to happen and showing you the new name/brand/cover.

The next issue that publishes is going to feature the new name.

After that issue, I will be updating the website and all the appropriate social media to reflect the new name.

Finally, I will update the app to the new name and new icon.
