A kid from the 916….. through a lot of time reflecting on where I came from to where I’m at I knew it was time for a level up instead of repeating my process. It’s uncomfortable to start over and learn new things but it’s what I’ve always done without thing you do being attached to the guild is definitely something that’s going to benefit me and all my people in my community creatives. Thanks to for this event.

Transparency post!!!!
I’ve Been taking some time to go thru my history and reflect on my thoughts and accomplishments. These are tweets from 2017, one of the hardest years of my life, I intentionally got fired from my job because I got a major placement that eventually ended up never coming out, I got no money from the situation and here I was “stuck” I always stayed prepared with my skill set and that allowed me to go in overdrive mode on my hustle. I ended up working as a “yard dutie” at an elementary school part time to make sure I at least could make my rent because I was doing a lot of free sessions just to get in the room with people in LA. My faith and work ethic allowed me to get to where I am now thru that storm.
The point of the story is that no matter the storm you have to remove your pride and do what god is telling you to do to get to the next level. I wish the best for everyone in a “tuff” season. Push thru, pray, and stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. We are in this together.

Transparency post: this is current day me. Trying to find my way. I’ve done some amazing things in the last few years but I still can’t fight the “stuck” feeling. Everything I have comes from serving others and putting myself last. Currently, I’m trying to find where “I” fit in this life of mine. Trying to find the balance between servicing my family and my career but also trying to find what’s true for “ME”. I’ve learned that serving others doesn’t mean that they have to reciprocate the same level, it’s ultimately my responsibility to take care of me. I’m still trying to figure out that part. I love everyone in my life and I appreciate everything this far. Just tryna find myself all over again, waiting on God but doing a lot of building while I wait. It’s ok to build and then start all over again. Happy Friday everyone!!!

Rest in Power Mr.Mtume!!! When I was tasked to head the music direction for @karmasworldofficial I did a lot of research. This man’s interviews gave me the battery I needed to approach the show the way I did. To trust my gut and instincts on what I believe was missing in music for television. When I sat with the composers and executives my main point of reference was “NY Undercover” he changed the landscape of how black music lived on TV. As a child i was glamoured by the music for that show and the whole music approach. I am forever grateful for this man. This only hurts because I never got a chance to meet him and tell him to his face how much he meant to me then and now. 2022 is starting off too crazy!!! This interview is what gave me the confidence to speak to people who are vets in this field and with no prior experience, stand on what I believed would be great for our culture!! Praying for the family’s healing!
