As a sophomore last year Emma Ciocon averaged a hat trick per game on her way to scoring 78 goals for the Bridgewater Panthers.
Emma, a 2nd team All-Group 4 selection last year, is now on a 4 goal per contest pace this season.
With her eight 3+ goal game yesterday Emma led the Panthers to a 15-2 dub over visiting Stuart Country Day school as the Panthers moved to 7-2 on the season.
Emma is committed to play for The Army Black Knights, but before she can sink Navy she’s got something else to sink. That’s right, she’s headed to Bubbakoo’s for her delicious PoG Burrito while her platoon takes in their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Too many weapons.
Given Bernards offensive arsenal of David Brothers, who has 49 pts this season and 272 for his career, Charlie Hunnewell (30 this year, 152 career), Finn Vaccaro (36, 158) and oncoming Soph Logan Stevens who has 33 points this season, you’d be forgiven if you overlooked the capabilities of Jake Caldwell.
Often playing the role of the steady hand who keeps the ball flowing, Jake got busy slicing and dicing yesterday as he put up 2 goals and 4 assists in the Mountaineers 12-5 dub over arch rival Ridge.
Jake, who will be taking his game to Babson College next year, now sits 1 point away from his career 100th.
Babson, ranked #15 nationally in D3, ranks among the nation’s Top 100 colleges in lowest acceptance rates, is the current home of local athletes Alex Yablonsky (GL Soccer), Josie Ashton (Chatham/Mo Beard Field Hockey) and Nicolette Newsome (Bridgewater Swimming).
When Jake’s at Babson he’ll be about a 20 minute drive on the Mass Pike to Fenway Park. Once there he’ll have the opportunity to feast upon the wicked delish Mac n Cheese at the Cask ‘N Flagon just behind the Green Monstah.
Do you know what wicked delish meal Jake will soon be feasting upon, without having to go all the way to Fenway? Of course you do. Jake will be chowing on his delectable PoG Burrito while his crew connects with their 15% Entourage discount right here at Bubbakoos.

Watchung Hills Sophomore Robbie Centamore went 6 ⅓ with 7 k’s as Watchung Hills dropped Hillsborough 4-2 in a Skylands Conference matchup this Saturday.
Centamore, who is emerging as one of the top Soph hurlers in the area, dropped his ERA to 2.38 and now leads the Warriors in innings pitched.
Along with being the benefactor of a 6th inning 4-6-3 triple play, Centamore helped himself immensely with a beautiful pick-off of a Raider runner on 3rd base in the 5th to shut down a threat.
Robbie is looking like a kid who’s going to eat up a lot of innings for the Warriors over the couple years, you know what else he’s going to be eating up?
Of course you do. He’s going to be eating up a delicious PoG Burrito from Bubbakoos while his teammates field themselves their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Gianna Basile’s clutch bottom of the 7th, game winning rbi gave GL a come-from-behind 6-5 dub over visiting Chatham in Saturday's Rick Iacono showdown.
Down 5-3 with just 3 outs of breathing rooml, the Highlander bats came to life as they got singles from Chelsea Kieswettter, Lily Sandholm, Carly Pfeiffer and Vanessa Popola to tie the game and bring Basile to the plate.
Gianna, one of just two seniors in the GL lineup yesterday, ripped a liner to left to score Pfeiffer to give the Highlanders the walk off dub.
You know what Gianna will be ripping into next? Of course you do. She’s gonna tear up her delicious PoG Burrito from Bubbakoos while her teammates hop on their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Maybe teams should start defending Cody Lam with three players.
Cuz two aint workin.
On Friday Grown Man Lam, a Princeton commit, bullied Delbarton with his third hat trick of the season as The Blue Devils knocked off their third consecutive Top 5 team in a 9-7 dub over the Green Wave.
When Cody gets to Princeton it's inevitable that he’ll take a stroll down Nassau Street to the world renowned Hoagie Haven and dig into delectables like the “Big Cat”, a double bacon cheeseburger with two eggs or perhaps, given his style of play, the “Body Bag” a cheesesteak with hash browns, eggs and hot sauce.
But before he gets to Hoagie Haven he’s got somewhere else to go. That’s right, Cody is headed to Bubbakoos where he’ll have a choice of a dozen different sauces to slather onto his delicious PoG Burrito while his crew slides into their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Caden Kirst looks great in Red and Black unis.
This works out quite well because next year he’ll trade his Bernards Red and Black for that of The Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
This season Caden is allowing a paltry 3 goals per game as Bernards, the #5 ranked team in the state, has lumped up their opposition by an aggregate 92-27 count.
On Thursday Caden and the Mountaineers shut down next door neighbor and 17th ranked Bridgewater 9-5 to move to 6-0 on the season.
A big man with quick hands, Caden is the 5th and youngest sibling of one of the most well known lacrosse families in the country.
Three of Caden’s older brothers- Connor, Colin and Cole- are playing lacrosse professionally, while the 4th, CJ, is a 1st Team All-American and the reigning Ivy League player-of-the-year at Cornell.
Before Caden heads down 287 to Piscataway, do you know where else he’ll be headed? Of course you do. He’s headed to Bubbakoos to dig into his delicious PoG Burrito while his accompanying teammates dig into their 15% PoG Entourage discount.
Btw, do you know who one of Rutgers Athletics biggest sponsors is? That’s right, it's Bubbakoos.
Now three weeks into the season, underclassmen are beginning to make names for themselves.
Summit's 11-10 nine inning victory over GL was highlighted by a pair of standout sophomores whom we’re all going to hear a whole lot about over the next couple years.
The 21 run output was led by Summit’s Alex Schwark and GL’s Zach Geertsma who combined to go 6-8 with 4 dingers and 8 rbi.
Geertsma, who had 3 roundtrippers, became a known entity while hitting .387 as GL’s starting shortstop throughout the ‘23 season, but it looks like it's time for Schwark, now hitting .318 with 2 HR’s and a double, to go on the watch list too.
Alex is headed to some big days for the Hilltoppers, you know where else he is headed? Of course you do. He’s headed to Bubbakoos for his delectable PoG Burrito, and since he’s going to need a ride from his upperclassmen teammates, it works out well that they’ll be able to cash in on their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Bernards, the defending North 2 Section 2 champions, has returned almost their entire team from last season.
But there’s always room for underclassmen who are ready to step up.
Brooke Helpinstill may be the only Soph in the Mountaineer lineup but doesn’t mean she’s not ready to contribute.
On Saturday Brooke launched a 2 run dinger to lead Bernards to a 9-5 dub over Bridgewater.
The Mountaineer senior laden lineup rode Brooke’s bat to victory, now they’re going to be driving their soph teammate to Bubbakoos where Brooke will dig into her delicious PoG Burrito while her teammates score their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

High Point may have thought they were getting a break by not drawing one of Westfield's future D1 pitching starters but Blue Devil Kevin Dowling had other ideas.
Dowling, who scattered 5 hits over 6 innings through wind and cold, gave The Blue Devils just what they needed in a 5-3 dub over the visiting Wildcats.
With all the rainouts stacking up, pitching depth is going to be of great importance this season, and Dowling’s looking like someone Coach Jay Cook is going to be able to count on.
Kevin will certainly be taking the bump in some critical moments this spring, do you know what else he’ll be taking soon? Of course you do, Kevin will be striking into his delicious PoG Burrito from Bubbakoos while his teammates will be getting after their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Westfield took down state #1 Seton Hall 10-9 as Goalie Corey Gilford turned in as good a net minding performance as you’ll find this season.
Down 4-2, Gilford went on a 19 minute and 28 second run of completely shutting down the Pirates as the Blue Devils gathered themselves and scored 6 straight to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Gilford, who played with Jordan-like competitive focus throughout, also had an assist that went to his twin brother Christian.
Corey’s allowed just 6.5 goals per game this season despite the fact that 3 of the 4 teams he’s faced are ranked in the top 11 of the state.
Gilford may be turning shots away like a bouncer at an LA nightclub, but you know what he won’t be turning away? Of course you do. He’s going to have no problem taking in his PoG Burrito while his teammates jump on their 15% PoG Entourage discount at Bubbakoos.

Rain, sleet, cold, earthquakes? None of them matter to Bridewater Pitcher Jack Lanum.
This bulldog wants the ball in any weather.
Lanum, a junior, has thrown 5 innings of 2 hit ball this season, and every pitch he’s thrown has been in rain and cold.
Yesterday in a border war vs Ridge he threw three innings allowing one hit and no runs to shut down Red Devils in another cold wet one.
Lanum took the bump in the third with the Panthers down 4-1 and subsequently silenced the Red Devil bats over the next three stanzas getting k’s on 5 of his 9 outs.
The Panthers are now 5-0 as they head to a showdown with Skylands Conf Delaware Division rival North Hunterdon on saturday, you know where else Lanum and his crew are headed? Of course you do. Jack’s headed for a delectable PoG Burrito from Bubbakoo’s while his teammates get their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Future Georgetown Hoya Molly Davies knocked home a career high 4 goals as Summit showed why they are a worthy state #1 in a 10-6 Hilltopper dub over the #13 Chatham Cougars.
In a battle worthy of its hype, two of the state’s top programs fought to the last possession. One of the most impressive things about this contest was how Chatham, who trailed 6-1 in the 2nd period, fought back.
When Molly heads to Georgetown, who is currently tied with UCONN for 2nd in the Big East, she’ll be joining Summit HS alum (‘21) Rileigh Meyer. But before she heads to our nation’s capitol to join her collegiate teammates, she’s got somewhere else to go with her current teammates.
That’s right, Molly’s headed to Bubbakoos for her muy deliciosa PoG Burrito while her accompanying Hilltopper teammates will cash in on their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

Last season Preston “Shadooby” Shanosky was 3rd on the Ridge team with 115 kills. With the two leaders, Brendan Davy and Akash Macha having graduated, Shanosky looks more than ready to take over as the lead killa.
On Wednesday Shadooby helped The Red Devils shatter Hunterdon C with 6 kills, 5 digs and an assist in a 2 set dub.
Ridge is now 2-0 and appears to be headed for another strong season, do you know where else they are headed? Of course you do. Preston and crew are headed to Bubbakoos where Shadooby will pile a giant PoG Burrito on his plate while his teammates grab their 15% PoG Entourage discount.

As a 1st Team All-stater last season, Summit’s Oliver Hogan crushed 325 kills. He’s right back at it. A 6’ 5” Outside Hitter with some hops, Hogan doused the Hillside Comets today with 15 kills as Summit went 25-15, 25-19 to open ‘24 with a dub.
Dating back to May 1 of ‘23, Hogan has now notched double-digit kills in 13 straight games. With 2 more games this week Oliver will be looking to extend that streak, you know what else he’s going to be looking to do? Of course you do.
