The Arctic tern is a medium-sized tern, which nests in colonies on sand and shingle beaches along the coast. Arctic terns are noisy in their colonies and, like most terns, will attack intruders threatening their young, often dive-bombing them with their sharp bills at the ready. I can confirm they peck the hell out of you and have the ability to hit the same spot several times in quick succession. Beautiful to see close up. This one on the Inner Farne island giving a pre warning that it was about to divebomb someone's head.

Where to start. Well I'm Jim forsyth and no doubt some of you have seen my images which range from Enduro motorcycle racing event to the other end of the scale Macro photography. Started out 4 year ago mainly doing Landscapes and a small amount of motorsport. This quickly changed to a lot of Enduro Motorcycle racing with a lot, in fact the majority done following the Edge Off Road series which now takes up around 95 percent of my photography. I do still have a passion for Landscapes and more recently I have been bitten by the Macro bug from as the title says bugs to flowers and getting in close to the flowers giving results I never thought I would achieve. Along with all the above I’ve also recently purchased a drone which once mastered will hopefully bring me the landscape photos not achievable with my camera.
