Borderline

Borderline The Radio Program that Brings the World to Western. We cover topics from North Korea and European Integration to the Canadian Costco Milk Craze.

Borderline is an internationally-minded, independently-produced radio program broadcast at 89.3 KUGS FM at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. In January 2012, Borderline was just Perry Olason's idea for a cool extracurricular activity. After a months of preparation and the help of Western's International Affairs Association, stories began to turn into episodes. Currently, Per

ry and his team of ten students-turned-journalists have produced and broadcast eight programs. As a program, we aim to deliver informative content in an engaging way. Ever wonder about what goes on in North Korea? So did we- that's why we devoted our November episode to learning all about Kim Jong Un and Company in our North Korea November episode. What about Canada's love for Costco milk? We sough out an expert on U.S.-Canada relations to give us the skinny on trade policy between the two countries. After one successful season, Borderline is gearing up for bigger and better things on the horizon! It is our hope that you enjoy listening to our program as much as we have enjoyed producing it. If you are interested in contributing to or learning more about the program, please feel free to send us an email. We've come a long way- thanks for listening! Keira Alkema, Editor
