As .work searched for words or phrases to use in his typographic animation experiments, he found himself mechanically writing the date of the day instead. This habit brought back memories of a contemporary art class he had attended long ago, where the work of On Kawara was studied.

On Kawara is known for his series titled Today, in which he painted the date of the day on a monochrome background. Each painting displayed the date in white, using the language and format of the country he was in at the time.

Design studio creates a special greeting each year for their valued clients, partners, and friends. To celebrate the Year of the Snake, they’ve designed an out-of-the-ordinary Chinese New Year gift.

During Chinese New Year, it’s customary to give children “hongbao” – red envelopes containing lucky money. Inspired by the iconic 90s Nokia phone and its legendary Snake game, the studio has crafted a distinctive set of envelopes. To add a modern, interactive twist, they also introduced a “Pocket Pal” pre-loaded with the classic $nake Game.

Traditional hongbaos are typically red with gold-foiled Chinese characters. While paying homage to this tradition, the studio added a fresh and playful touch to engage the younger generation, encouraging them to connect with and remember this cherished custom.

Design studio ’s packaging design for Remiina’s REFRESH face mask series. Targeted at young women who appreciate the finer details of life, the design emphasises a modern and vibrant aesthetic with high-saturation primary colours. Key ingredients—aloe vera, rose, and tea leaves—are highlighted, each corresponding to the series’ three main benefits: hydration, brightening, and soothing. The use of dots, lines, and planes visually captures the dimensionality of plant forms.

In 2021, graphic design studio developed a visual identity with a mystifying twist for its alma mater. Over its 70 years of existence, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava has established itself as a flagship institution in Slovak art and design. However, its visual identity had long lacked cohesion and care.

This project strategically leverages the inconsistencies of the Academy’s past identities to create a timeless and imaginative new one. The initiative was inspired by the Academy’s anniversary—a moment to reflect on its rich history, including its events, people, developments, and personal stories. During the process, it was revealed that the last documented logo of the Academy dated back to approximately 1990, underscoring the contradiction between the school’s esteemed legacy and the absence of archival or inventive efforts regarding its identity. This paradox became a central source of inspiration.

The new visual identity reflects an era dominated by misinformation and mystification. To make the concept believable, it was partially rooted in reality by incorporating the Pálffy deer symbol from the coat of arms displayed on the school’s facade. This emblem was reimagined and adapted for different historical periods, mirroring the evolution of graphic design. As a result, the identity now offers a broad range of applications—from ceramic statuettes, jewellery, and trophies to illustrations, photographs, and even sports jerseys.

This dynamic and provocative identity embodies the Academy’s experimental and boundary-pushing ethos. It is designed to evolve with the times, capable of daily reinvention if desired. The ultimate aim was to create an alternate reality where, decades from now, future designers updating the deer symbol will view it as an intrinsic part of the Academy’s storied history.

Design studio created the visual identity for the exhibition Echoes of Camel Bells: Arts and Civilisations along the Silk Roads, held at the Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing.

The exhibition’s visual identity was developed by separating the words “the sound of camel bells” and combining them with the English subtitle in a meandering arrangement. This formed a flowing line reminiscent of the letter “S,” evoking the visual memory of the Silk Road. The design incorporates desert-inspired elements and a silk-inspired colour palette to represent the “meandering line” of Eastern and Western cultural exchanges. The theme encapsulates the fusion of Eastern and Western civilisations, and the sound of camel bells symbolises the cultural collision that generates new vitality.

From the graphic design of the visual identity to the development of exhibition merchandise, the Silk Road Art Exhibition’s visual language integrates five Chinese silk-inspired colour systems: green (sequence), ochre (earth), red (soil), blue (sky), and brown (eternity). These colours correspond to the five key panels in the exhibition space: sequence, earth, sky, and eternity.

The aim is for visitors to experience the Silk Road not as an abstract concept but as a vivid reimagining of its role in shaping global civilisations. The exhibition site becomes a living representation of the ancient Silk Road, blending the spiritual energy of the past with the modernisation of its rich cultural history. It offers a “new” expression and a “new” experience of Chinese art and culture, presenting the long-standing legacy of the Silk Road through a contemporary lens.

.studio developed the brand strategy, visual identity, and website for delta, a blockchain company that secured $11 million in funding to launch its innovative “network of networks” platform. delta empowers developers with local control and global interoperability, addressing key challenges in the crypto space.

To reflect delta’s groundbreaking mission, the studio created a modular and adaptable system inspired by the interplay of organic and digital elements. This is evident in the handwritten/pixelated logo, the combination of rasterised and sans-serif typefaces, and a photography style that blends warm human motifs with tech imagery. The result is a bold yet approachable visual language that balances sophisticated technology with clear, human communication.

Design studio ’s brand identity for combines innovation and sensory experience in the specialty coffee industry. At the core of the identity is a sophisticated and dynamic ‘S’ logo, created by overlapping two ‘S’ glyphs to convey motion and the rising flow of coffee vapour. Inspired by scientific diagrams, the logo reflects Slick’s advanced technology in coffee roasting.

Linear wave patterns distinguish coffee types while enhancing sensory engagement, with embossed packaging tags adding a tactile element. A mono-linear geometric sans-serif typeface further reinforces the brand’s cutting-edge ethos, positioning Slick as a leader in global specialty coffee research and experimentation.
