WINNERS. The Bago City Bikers Club (BCBC) paid a courtesy call to Mayor Nicholas Yulo at his office this morning, April 24, after winning several awards at the 1st Pandayag Duathlon Challenge held at La Libertad, Negros Oriental on April 21, 2024.

All five of the participating bikers were podium winners in various categories of the athletic event including the Women's Open (champion and first runner-up), 19 Under (champion), and 40 to 49 (second and fourth runner-up).

The team extended their gratitude to Mayor Yulo, Vice Mayor Ramon Torres, the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and City Sports Officer Ignacio Denila, among others, for their unwavering support.

APPRECIATION. Bago City Acting Mayor Ramon Torres receives a certificate of appreciation from the personnel of Bago City Fire Station led by Fire Senior Inspector Roberto Tamayo Jr. at the city hall this morning, April 4.

This is in appreciation of his invaluable support during the agency’s Fire Prevention Month 2024 culminating activity.

This year’s Fire Prevention Month celebration is themed “Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, hindi ka nag-iisa.”

KOMPERMADO NGA KASO SANG MASAKIT NGA PERTUSSIS

May yara sang isa ka kumpirmado nga kaso sang masakit nga pertussis ang narecord sa Negros Occidental matapos nagguwa ang result halin sa Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM).

Suno kay Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson nga ang amo nga sample halin sa duwa ka bulan nga bata nga babayi nga yara naka admit sa Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) diri sa syudad sang Bacolod.

Dugang pa ni Lacson, stable naman ang kondisyon sang nasambit nga bata apang ang amo nga nga masakit nakuha gikan sa sulod sang panimalay nga ginapatihan nga may mga gina-ubo sa pamilya .

Naglambot sa 13 ang nagluntad nga sunog sang Abril 2, 2024. Ini ang isa sa pinakadamo nga narecord nga sunog sa syudad sang Bacolod sa sulod sang isa ka adlaw.

Suno kay FO1 Paul Servano, Public Information Officer sang Bureau of Fire Protection Bacolod sa 13 ka sunog, 10 dire ang grass fire, isa ka rubbish fire, ksa ka vehicular fire kag isa man ka residential fire.

Dugang pa ni Servano, base sa ila obserbasyon, ang average nga sunog nga nagaluntad sa kada adlaw ang nagalambot lang sa apat apang kahapon naglambot sa 13.

Pahayag ni Servano pinakadako nga na record nga grassfire amo ang nagluntad sa boundary sang syudad sg Bacolod kag Talisay kahapon nga adlaw kon diin, naglambot sa duha ka ektarya ang sunog.

Una nabaton ang firecall las 7:41 sang aga kag napalong ang kalayo matapos ang pila ka oras kag liwat nag kalayo las 5 sang hapon sa amo man nga adlaw. Sa karon padayon pa ang imbestigasyon sang BFP sa ginhalinan sang sunog.*
