We are pleased to provide an update on CYHZ - Halifax Stanfield.

Expect version 1.3 to be released within a few weeks across all stores. Full change log:

• Added the new cargo area near runway 05, including 5 new aircraft stands and a cargo warehouse (images below)
• Adjusted various ground textures, including taxiway lines
• Added more ground traffic and adjusted existing routes
• Added some additional detail to downtown
• Adjusted winter package, including issue with runway lights, colour of snow, and trees
• Made minor performance improvements
• Fixed maple leaf on Canadian flag

📢Development Update📢

We are committed to X-Plane, and believe the platform has a bright future. XP11 customers will receive free upgrades to XP12.

New airports:
✈️CYDF - Deer Lake
After a bit of a delay, YDF will release this summer for XP, and MSFS and P3D (the latter through FSimStudios). A full feature list will be provided upon release, but you can expect dozens of custom 3D objects (including a full terminal interior), custom animations, custom terrain, and more.

✈️CYTZ - Toronto Billy Bishop
Your first question is probably, "but isn't there already a YTZ"? Yes, but not the level we think is warranted. Expect FSimStudios' high-quality version of YTZ to be released for XP within two months.

✈️CYMM - Fort McMurray
Work has begun on YMM, but won't be a focus until YDF and YTZ are released. The 3D modelling of the terminal is complete. As usual, expect the same features you've come to love. Will release for XP, MSFS, and P3D.

Updates to existing airports:
✈️CYHZ - Halifax
Version 1.3 of YHZ is nearly complete, including the addition of the new cargo warehouse/apron near runway 05, performance improvements, and other additions/refinements. This update will likely be released in August.

✈️ CYQY - Sydney
As YQY was our very first airport, many of the learnings from our other airports will be applied for version 1.3, including custom approach lights, a new helipad in downtown Sydney, and more. This update is also expected in August.

Exciting news from our partners!

Halifax International Airport CYHZ for P3D v4.4 and P3Dv5, in collaboration with Airfield Canada, is releasing in just a few hours.

We know many of you have been expecting the airport for a while, and we are very excited to finally release it. Halifax is known for its location, making transatlantic routes possible in under 5hrs, and plenty of routes to destinations in Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. Halifax is also one of our most detailed products to date, as the team has put great effort in modeling the buildings accurately, many of them featuring detailed interiors. The product features detailed terminal interiors, SODE Jetways, high-resolution PBR textures, optional winter textures, and more.

Distribution
Some of you may remember that a year ago we announced that we were working on our own addon manager tool. We have heard feedback from the community, indicating that having multiple tools is inconvenient. This is why we have decided to partner with Contrail to use their platform to distribute our products.

We WILL continue selling through FSimStudios.com, SimMarket and other 3rd party sellers, but instead of downloading an installer unique to the product, now you will be asked to download Contrail, redeem the product key and install the product on their platform. Sales through ORBX will continue being managed through ORBX Central.

By distributing through a platform like Contrail, we are able to roll out updates more frequently and keep your products up to date, as updates are installed automatically and there is no need to reinstall. This also means that all your FSimStudios products will be kept on the same platform, improving significantly your experience as a customer when reinstalling and configuring the products. Starting with Halifax, all of our P3D products will be exclusively distributed through ORBX Central and Contrail, and we have similar plans for MSFS and XP Products.

License transfers to Contrail for P3D products released before Halifax (Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, London) will be possible at a later date - we are sorting out the details for this.

We're excited to announce Deer Lake Regional Airport (CYDF) and Fort McMurray International Airport (CYMM) for X-Plane, Prepar3D, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Development of both airports is underway at the same time, though CYDF will come first, due its smaller size.

Expect:
✈ Custom 3D buildings for all of the airport properties, including terminal interiors.
✈ Full SAM integration (including seasons and animations)
✈ Custom lighting
✈ Animated ground traffic
✈ and more

These renders are of the CYDF terminal. Stay tuned for more photos and information in the coming weeks and months - we have lots to show!
