PM MODI SAYS SANKALP PATRA FOR BUILDING VIKSIT BHARAT.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the election manifesto committee for the extensive work put into the preparation of this exceptional ‘Sankalp Patra’.

He said that the reason behind the entire nation “eagerly waiting" for the party’s manifesto is that “in 10 years, BJP has implemented every point of its manifesto as a guarantee."

“This resolution letter empowers the four strong pillars of developed India – youth power, women power, poor and farmers," PM Modi said, adding that “our focus is on dignity of life, quality of lives and jobs through investment.

He said, “Our focus is on ‘Nivesh se Naukri’, our manifesto is the reflection of India’s Youth". “In the last ten years, around 25 crore people of Bharat have moved out of multidimensional poverty. This stands as a testament to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strong commitment to a result-oriented approach to work," he added.

It is Modi’s Guarantee that free ration scheme will continue to be operational for the next five years. “We will ensure that the poor person’s food plate is nutritious, satisfying, and affordable," the PM said.

“Every senior citizen over the age of 70 years will be covered under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme," the prime minister said, adding that they could belong to any economic background.

He said that in the work for the poor, “we will move forward with the manifesto of building three crore more houses", PM Modi said.

The Mudra Yojana Loan ceiling limit that was Rs 10 lakh earlier, it will now be increased to Rs 20 lakh, the PM Modi noted as he spoke on the release of the BJP’s election manifesto. He added that the PM Swanidhi Yojana’s limit will also be increased to Rs 50,000, adding that it will be applicable to tier two and tier three cities as well.

The last 10 years have been dedicated to women’s dignity and new opportunities for women, he said, the coming five years will be of new participation of women power.

Iran has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel in its first direct attack on Israeli territory, in a retaliatory assault that wounded a seven-year-old girl and caused minor damage at an Israeli military facility.

The late Saturday night attack set off air raid sirens in cities across Israel, including Tel Aviv and West Jerusalem, and explosions were heard as air defences intercepted the projectiles.

The Israeli military said the Iranian salvo consisted of more than 300 “killer drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles”, but that 99 percent were intercepted with help from forces from France, the United Kingdom and the United States.

President Joe Biden threatened on Thursday to condition support for Israel's offensive in Gaza on it taking concrete steps to protect aid workers and civilians, seeking for the first time to leverage US aid to influence Israeli military behaviour.

Biden's warning, relayed in a call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, followed a deadly Israeli attack on World Central Kitchen aid workers that spurred new calls from Biden's fellow Democrats to place conditions on US aid to Israel. Israel said the attack was a mistake

The Union minister's remark comes after China renamed 30 places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh, releasing the fourth such list of “standardised" geographical names in the northeastern state, which it calls Zangnan, according to a Hong Kong-based daily.

"China has given some kind of names to some places in Arunachal Pradesh. But, I don't understand why they are doing that. We are very upset and we totally reject this kind of malicious activity conducted by the Chinese government." Rijiju said.

The panel last week said it was probing reports that Russia violated rules by buying North Korean weapons like ballistic missiles for use in Ukraine.

The UN's Security Council has imposed a series of sanctions on Pyongyang since 2006 for its nuclear weapons programme.

Those restrictions are still in force - but the expert group set up to monitor violations will now be disbanded.

In a Security Council vote on Thursday, Russia used its veto power as a permanent member to block the renewal, while 13 of the other 14 member states present voted for it. China, Pyongyang's closest ally, abstained.

During a lethal overnight airstrike, Israeli forces aimed at Syria's Aleppo region. Syrian reports indicate that the attack resulted in the deaths of at least 33 civilians and Syrian troops, along with 5 Hezbollah members. Additionally, Israeli strikes hit the Hezbollah terror group's missile depots in Aleppo's southern suburb of Jibreen. The Israeli attack reportedly commenced around 1:45 am.

After Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu abruptly cancelled a planned meeting on military plans for Gaza’s southern city of Rafah earlier this week, Israel has asked the White House to reschedule the high-level meeting in an apparent bid to ease tensions between the two allies.

“The prime minister’s office has agreed to reschedule the meeting dedicated to Rafah,” Reuters quoted White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre as saying on Wednesday.
