Felix Tapes Felix Tapes has been playing his favourite records in multiple nightclubs in and around Amsterdam since 2010. Felix also travelled through South America a lot.

Being raised by two Africa lovers, African music influenced him since his childhood. Just listening to his sets and productions tells you how much the rhythms and grooves from these continents inspired him to create his own style. From Nigerian funk to Amazon tribe music, everything is possible. With his percussive and euphoric sounds he already rocked dancefloors at venues like: Ruigoord, Sugar Factory, Bitterzoet, Georgies Wundergarten, Studio K, Dhoem Dhaam and Gebr de Nobel.

Our Story

Inspired by the African cassette tapes from my father, I started playing African Disco and Funk in Amsterdam in 2010. After traveling in different continents, I started experimenting with sounds from all over the world. Where I used to play a bit more uptempo, nowadays I am focussing on a deeper and more atmospheric sound. Blending different genres and tempos is something that is appealing to me. From Nigerian funk to Amazon tribe music, everything is possible.
