Whoa! This devotional stirs my heart! I can literally feel my heart rate increasing and tears coming to my eyes while I am letting these truths soak in!!

I want to walk in and be aware of GOD'S UNSEEN, ETERNAL REALM every moment of my existence in this visible, tangible world.

God gave me these verses from John 4:23-24 for my 2024 theme -

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

I'm pretty good in the practical, down-to-earth stuff...I am just craving so much more of living in the Presence of Jesus... 🙏🙏🙏

My natural preference IS to plan out my day!! 😲 God has given me the strength of "Arranger" [see CliftonStrengths] so I do love getting my schedule organized for the day...AND If I just ramble through the day, I feel like I get anything accomplished!

I don't think this devotional is saying to NEVER plan [at least I hope not! lol], but rather to be OPEN to the "interruptions" as OPPORTUNITIES from God. [It makes me nervous even typing that! 😆]

Am I alone in this? How have "God-interruptions" been a blessing to you?💜✝️🛐

This is a mystery to me!! I definitely don't feel like "the righteousness of God" most days!

Today I just want to be aware of Jesus' "intimate nearness" as I go through my everyday life - cooking, cleaning, walking the dog, and designing t-shirts. And somehow, through that closeness, shine His Light. 🌤

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV

Don't you just LOVE to wait?? ⏱⏲⏰🕰⌛️ No?? Me either!! Is that just an American thing - or is that a "human nature" thing?? Especially when you see the wicked succeeding in their schemes!

But what does Scripture say? "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him..." THAT'S how we stay connected to Him...by being aware of all that HE has to offer...which may be in the SPIRITUAL realm, NOT in our human, physical realm. ✝️🛐

So often we have to "turn and face the strange" [and I know I'm feelin' the "pretty soon now you're gonna get older" truth some days 😕]. And it's hard. We struggle. We question. We are afraid.

But what Bowie didn't say, because I don't think he knew, is that THERE IS Someone who CAN "trace time"... ⌚️

The One Who created time when He put the sun and the moon in the sky. The One Who is beyond space and time, Who lives in a spiritual dimension that we can only get glimpses of now. The One Who is the same yesterday, today, and FOREVER.

And that same Being promises to NEVER leave us and to always be by our side, as we walk through this life's and the next/spiritual dimension life's ch-ch-ch-ch-changes...

Remember the little Sunday School song that went: "If you're happy and you know it, say amen"? Well, sometimes we sang a variation: "If you're happy and you know it, tell your face"! 😆

I'm not saying that we need to fake happiness when our world is crashing around us...but knowing that Jesus is with us, because He lives in us, brings joy and peace that pass our human understanding...even during the most difficult struggles. 🙏
