Racing World Daily Bite Racing World’s award winning Daily Bite series was created in 2010
specifically with the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival in mind.

Headed by the remarkable $6 million Emirates Melbourne Cup, Australia’s strongest racing region features 14 Group 1 races from the start of October through to the middle of November. We’ll report from various sites around Melbourne every day, bringing
you news of the growing international challenge from the International
Horse Centre at Werribee, inside knowledge of the local challenge from Flemin

gton, Caulfield and other training centres and, of course, all the tips from the experts and the glitz and glamor from the social scene. There’s simply no other racing carnival in the world like the Melbourne
spring and no other race like the Melbourne Cup. The 150th running of this iconic event was won by the French trained Americain in 2010, highlighting the internationalisation of racing in recent years. The Caulfield Cup, the Cox Plate and numerous other lead up races all
carry millions of dollars in prize money and the stories of the jockeys,
trainers and owners who chase these riches are as diverse as they are
captivating.
