While we are on the topic of 50 coming to revitalize the industry in Shreveport, would y’all mind putting energy towards folks on the ground who are making films and trying to hone their work?
For example, I’m still crowdfunding and casting for my Louisiana Film Prize short EULOGY. I’m aiming for $10K and I’m right now at $1.5K. If you want to donate, here’s my link:

Another example is my good sis Kristi Woodard who is also crowdfunding for her short, Off to Care. She’s someone who knows the film community and has utilized all her talents and know how in Situationships: The Web Series while on the ground and wants to keep that momentum going. Here’s her link.

Ben Tuxen, Clayton Henderson, and Caleb Lemon are also fantastic filmmakers who’ve been working and has seen some success with their shorts and are also crowdfunding for their respective films: Trip From Saigon Short Film, FAST, and Get Pranked. Here are their links.

Hell, there’s even an independent film studio that is currently trying to secure funding for local feature filmmakers that deserves to be on your radar: 3one8 films. They’re looking for investors and anyone can apply to be an investor:

If you all really want the industry to be ready, you need to be able to invest in the talents of the community that’s here and is willing to come back here to work and make Shreveport bloom creatively.
