From The Eastsider LA:
"Yet another local commemorative plaque has gone missing. This time, it’s the Portolá Trail historical marker, which was erected in 1958 on the east end of Elysian Park. Sakae Koyama with the Friends of Elysian Park said the group was giving a tour to a city council staff member this weekend when someone noticed the plaque was missing. This is the latest in a rash of plaque thefts, including the Jose Marti Monument and Lady of the Lake statue at Echo Park Lake, the Avenue of the Athletes in Echo Park, a veterans’ monument in Boyle Heights and a Jewish cemetery marker near Dodger Stadium."
