On the occasion of John Carpenter’s 77th birthday, FAB Press feels it is only fitting that we give you a quick update on the current status of Michael Doyle’s mammoth new book, BRINGING DARKNESS INSTEAD OF LIGHT: CONVERSATIONS WITH JOHN CARPENTER. Just recently, Michael unexpectedly took receipt of a veritable treasure trove of rare photographs that we fully intend to feature in his forthcoming volume (which collects sixteen years of exclusive interviews with the Master of Horror!), so in the interests of producing the best possible book, production had to be held back somewhat. Yes, boys and ghouls, we fully appreciate that – very much like the corroded canister of green liquid in Prince of Darkness – it feels like you have been waiting seven million years for this book to appear. But rest assured that we are still on schedule to put the book on sale this spring and announcements will be issued in the coming months alerting everyone to when pre-orders for the limited edition package options can be made.
