A wonderful event and a true honour to have been represented and attended Nicosia Book Fest 2021 this weekend. Two of our illustrated books were there with their wonderful talented authors.

"Η Τζάζη Μπη η Μελισσούλα" by Christina Charalambidou (Baby Maestro Cyprus)

The children (and adults) got to draw, dance and clap to jazzy beats, create music, as well as learn about the importance of a balanced nutrition and take home some lovely books from local and foreign authors and illustrators.

Always a pleasure to bring lovely visions to life and see them travel.

The second book of CVAR - Severis Foundation series "The objects… speak" (Τα αντικείμενα...μιλούν) has taken print form! "The Wedding Dresses" (Τα Νυφικά) illustrated story book is based on actual historical outfits from the museum's collection and it will es**rt a touring museum kit around Cyprus public schools this autumn.

It was my pleasure to sketch and recreate the fine details of the wedding dresses - while in lockdown - and give them each their own character. Thank you to CVAR, and Rita Severis for your trust in me illustrating Natasa Charalambous's story and I can't wait for "The Wedding Dresses" to reach children around Cyprus and spark their imaginations and interest in culture and history!

Είμαστε πολύ χαρούμενοι για την έκδοση του δεύτερου παραμυθιού της σειράς «Τα αντικείμενα…μιλούν», με τίτλο «Τα Νυφικά», το οποίο από το φθινόπωρο θα συνοδεύει τη νέα μουσειοσκευή του CVAR «Οι ενδυμασίες του γάμου στην Κύπρο, 19ος-20ος αιώνας» στα δημοτικά σχολεία της Κύπρου. Ένα νέο ταξίδι ξεκινά…

Η νέα μουσειοσκευή του CVAR πραγματοποιήθηκε με τη στήριξη του Active Citizens Fund.

We are very happy to announce the publication of "The Wedding Dresses", the second fairy tale book in the series "The objects… speak" – which will, from autumn, accompany the new museum kit of CVAR "Wedding costumes in Cyprus, 19th-20th century" for the primary schools of Cyprus. A new journey begins…
