👉 Did YOU hire a Postpartum Doula?! 🧐
When we first bring our baby home, we can feel overwhelmed by all the areas to juggle with questions like… How do we manage overnight feedings, lack of sleep, cleaning bottles & diapers, laundry, breast or bottle feeding and so much more!
However, there is a solution… a Postpartum Doula. 🎊
After going through postpartum with twins and a toddler at home, Valerie Trumbower fully understood the overwhelm that can come with the start of motherhood.
💕 Now, as a postpartum doula, it is her passion to educate, support and empower parents when they first bring their baby home. She has worked with hundreds of families to set up systems and routines that make the postpartum journey much smoother. 👶

💕 For Elizabeth Presta, , no matter what level of planning and preparation she did for her pregnancy and birth, her plans still derailed.
She still was left feeling emotionally empty.
That picture of becoming a mom was not at all what she expected and she instantly started to question and judge herself. 💕
We have a lot of assumptions about our pregnancy, birth, postpartum and life in general as a mother.
👉 We paint a picture in our minds, but what if it looks like a VERY different picture than the one we dreamt?
❓Is there anything we can do to manage our expectations and what if it does feel different, how do we pivot ❓

🧐 QUESTION FOR YOU: If you were doing yoga and cycling routinely while you’re pregnant…
that should be enough to prepare you physically for birth, right?
In fact, it might not be enough and you could STILL feel out of balance physically when you go into labor.
👉 What is BALANCE in a pregnant body? 🧘🏽♀️
For today’s guest, Deb Flashenberg , this was her story. She thought she had covered all the bases for smooth labor.
Instead, she was in labor for hours and found that her baby was asynclitic (not in line with her birth canal) because her pelvic was out of balance.
❓How can we achieve balance before we give birth?
Deb teaches us the important key to finding balance during your pregnancy to help create less obstruction for baby's birth during labor.
⭐️ You will learn where to start and what not to forget when training to be a future mama.

🧘♀️ Have you ever considered acupuncture? 🪡
Whether you are trying to conceive, are pregnant or are postpartum, acupuncture can really be a powerful tool. 🛠
❤️ After years of irregular periods, hormonal swings and severe PMS, starting at a very young age, Michelle Oravitz gave acupuncture a try and she instantly felt a shift in her body.
Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a component of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body.
It goes beyond just covering up a pain or ailment.

🧐 Did YOU have a doula?
What does a Doula do? What is the importance of a doula? Why can’t our partners support us like a doula?
🌱 Aside from encouraging you, reminding you of your strength, preparing cool cloths, maybe with essential oils or playing your favorite music...
a doula can physically help move and adjust your body to manage the pain of labor and can even support you to have a vaginal birth, if you so desire.
🤝 While our partners can be there for our birth and support us for sure, they TOO have a lot of emotions, fears and distractions going on. It can be hard for them to be 100% fully focused on your needs.
However a doula or “mother servant”’ is there for you and you alone.
Heidi Snyderburn .story.academy is our doula expert here to open our eyes to the positive impact a doula can have on our birth!
