On his debut album Feelin’, Ivory marries hi-tech sound design with the emotional pull of house for 10 tracks shaped by a multitude of club music and R&B. Album opener “Voices” infuses noirish melodrama with playful, pitch-shifted vocals that instantly lighten the mood. Next up, “Blank” draws from a similar blueprint, bolstered by low end pressure and ruptured rhythms.

“Feelin’” is a dancefloor slammer, a healthy balance of tension and release that comes with an invite to conquer the floor. Heating up the album’s core, Ivory works up an appetite for “I Need You Now”; a hulking warehouse cut built from barrelling, muscular kicks and a diced up diva house-esque vocal.

For “What I Do,” we are transported to a land of French touch with high-voltage basslines aplenty while the propulsive “Try” pulls the crowd back into room one for a huge, anthemic floor-filler underpinned by jagged synths.

The LP’s penultimate track “Steps” leans on swirling, pearlescent keys and a sweet, balearic-tinged melody before “I Know What You Want” offers the ultimate sign-off statement, slicing through the razor-sharp mesh of synthwork with dueling vocals and sparky beats.

“Feelin’” is a soaring anthem, a balance of tension and release that comes with an invite to conquer the dancefloor. Jittery synths and organic-sounding percussion add an urgent, driving edge to the track, which is dutifully loaded with bass and gathers momentum before exploding into a hands-in-the-air moment.
Ivory relocates to an AI-inhabited landscape for “Don’t Lose Control,” which he describes as “one of the more emotional moments of the LP”. Creaking, jarring synths make way for dreamy pads and smooth house synth stabs that eventually give the mic to a disembodied post-human voice – one that sounds poetic, haunting, and eerily prescient.

What a ride last night… it really was a journey with an unforgettable crowd. Unfortunately was too sick to play even though she tried her upmost to make it. As we come to the end of another rollercoaster of a year. A quick recap of some of the projects I worked on this year. Songs from across the whole electronic music spectrum it’s been quite a ride. Thanks to all the artists, producers, labels, managers who believe in me to help you finalise these projects. Mixing and Mastering for me is a dream profession and I enjoy every moment of it, always learning, always getting another point of view. Looking forward to 2022!

Few days in beautiful Bensheim with my dear colleagues. It’s been 6 years of totally smashing it with these guys but now time for me to step aside as label manager this month and pass the baton to . It’s been a real trip working with and all@the artists and the team. We did nearly 200 records together and have some very fond memories, made new friends and met hero’s. I won’t be completely detached from the RB operation but need to spend more time with my own business going forward.
