Calling all professionals of any capacity working with low income families. Those professionals whose clients are elderly or vulnerable or both. This includes NHS workers. Please read the following as it aimed at helping those you are supporting in Northamptonshire.

We are a Uk registered charity Earth's Lonely Angels and have recently won a grant given by National Grid. This grant aim is to help make households more energy efficient & help save on bills. Under this grant we are giving Winter Warmth packages to help those most in need to keep warm & reduce energy bills.

If you are a professional as listed below:

Teachers at schools or family welfare officer.
Headmaster or mistress
Liaison officer at school
NHS/ CPN
GP/Dr/Dentist
Community Nurses
Case worker
Social Worker
Domestic Abuse Worker
Care Worker
Social Prescriber
Charity worker
Pharmacist
Or Part of early prevention officers with the police or council.

You can refer those families and individuals in your care to our charity by requesting help for those who need and will benefit from a Winter Warmth package.
All you need to do is send a referral by email requesting our help to [email protected] confirming the status of a person in respect of being elderly & families who are low income, on universal credit, or vulnerable and please state “winter warm packages” in the topic/subject of email.

We have a set budget per family and individuals so will provide items subject to this & a warmth pack, depending on your requirements & priority, which will include the following items:

Duvets
Blankets
Heavy curtains
Radiator Bleed keys
Radiator Foil
Rugs/Mats if you do not have carpets and have stone or tile floors but we may have to vet this.

Please note this is only available for Northamptonshire area and please share this information and with your colleagues.

We still have a considerable amount of funds to spend so let’s help as many as possible this winter from being cold. All the grant money we are given is based on a need it most and first come first served until the funds run out. Thank you for taking the time to read this 💗

Not quite sure where to start with saying goodbye.

The past few years have been a mixture of fun, heartache and hard work.

When I came to the Live And Let Live I wanted to make sure the village had a pub it could rely on and in my first two years I think that’s exactly what I achieved.

Then came Covid and it turned the world upside down. We continue to see the fallout from such a horrendous couple of years, across-the-board businesses have been forced to close, the increasing rise in costs and with a global crisis this was only over going to be bad news for some.

We worked so hard during the lockdown periods to make sure the village still had a focal point, the countless medications we delivered, takeaways we prepared and always thinking of fun activities to keep the village alive – that reminds me if anyone still wants a copy of Harpole at home I have a few left!

Being part of a village community can be so rewarding, I have made some amazing friends retained some I had already before coming here and reconnected with old ones I’d not seen for many years.

Being able to move on and to take my incredible team of staff with me it’s been a blessing we will get a fresh start we will get a new challenge and most importantly they all got to keep their jobs, which I think you would agree in the current climate that is so important.

So even though it’s goodbye from me as a landlady, for many of you who are my friends it’s just a change of scene and a different place to come and visit. I wish the new family all the best with their ventures and I’m sure the village will support them as they did me.

So from me and the family and from all the Live team who have been with me over the last four years, we wish you all much love and happiness and thank you for helping create some amazing memories.

Due to our Chef having a holiday there will be no food next week so with staff levels low we have decided to reduce the opening hours for just next week!!

We will share the updated hours when he is back.

Our music quiz next week is a little different, only in the way that we are supporting a customer with his fund raising event for the local Ukrainian children.

It’s a win win situation as the funds will go towards taking the children to see the Ukrainian circus, so not only do the children has a great time but all the artists involved with the circus benefit too!

So make sure you book a table as it fills up quickly!
