During the Piers Morgan interview with Ronaldo, there's a part in that interview that made me understand how bias and political the awards ceremonies in football are.

Piers asked Ronaldo this " What do u think of this, I talked to some of the journalists who regularly votes for the ballon d'or, and asked them why they don't usually vote for you even when you seem to deserve it and they replied that, it's because of your personality and that they vote for Messi because he's a very humble and nice dude, that's when I understood that this thing is not about merit but who they prefer"

And Ronaldo replied that, that's why he doesn't pay attention to these award shows no more and if he was to say the truth about these institutions, he will probably be in prison.

That's when I understood that, Messi isn't a robber, and it's NOT HIS FAULT. Instead of calling Messi a robber, we should instead blame these journalists who keep voting him for awards he doesn't deserve. People only blame Messi because he didn't reject the awards knowing fully well he was gonna get bashed. Anyways Messi is the "goat" while Ronaldo is the GOAT. BIG DIFFERENCE! Let's NOT FORGET RONALDO ONCE REJECTED THE GLOBE SOCCER AWARD AND GAVE IT TO LEWANDOWSKI. GOAT DOINGS!!
